<div>Position Summary: The Human Resources Manager serves as a trusted partner and resource to the St. Richard&rsquo;s Episcopal School community by overseeing all aspects of the employee life cycle &mdash; recruitment, onboarding, engagement, development, performance management, benefits, compliance, and retirement. The HR Manager ensures that human resources policies and practices reflect the school&rsquo;s mission and values while supporting a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture.

In addition, this position supports the accurate management of employee and student records within the school&rsquo;s databases (Veracross student information system and Checkwriters human resources information system), ensuring data integrity and confidentiality across HR and registrar functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Leadership
<ul>
<li>Oversee all aspects of the employee life cycle, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, evaluation, engagement, and offboarding.</li>
<li>Partner with administrators and managers to ensure fair, consistent, and mission-aligned application of HR policies and practices.</li>
<li>Serve as primary contact for all employee relations issues, providing guidance on performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.</li>
<li>Maintain employee personnel files and HR data in Checkwriters and other systems, ensuring compliance with school policies and applicable laws.</li>
<li>Manage employee benefits administration, including open enrollment, claims resolution, and coordination with benefits vendors and brokers.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws as well as Episcopal Diocese and school policies.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates.</li>
<li>Support leadership in cultivating a strong, mission-centered culture of inclusion, collaboration, and professional growth.</li>
</ul>
Payroll and Benefits Administration
<ul>
<li>Support payroll processing in partnership with the Business Office, ensuring accuracy of employee data, time-off records, and deductions.</li>
<li>Reconcile benefits billing and track payroll-related data for budgeting and reporting purposes.</li>
<li>Maintain confidential and organized employee records for audit and reporting purposes.</li>
</ul>
Performance and Engagement
<ul>
<li>Support the design and implementation of performance evaluation systems that promote professional growth.</li>
<li>Manage initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention, including recognition programs and professional development opportunities.</li>
<li>Conduct exit interviews and provide analysis to leadership for continuous improvement.</li>
</ul>
Database and Registrar Support
<ul>
<li>Oversee accurate entry, maintenance, and security of HR within Checkwriters and student data within Veracross.</li>
<li>Manage annual data rollovers, updates to student and employee records, and reporting as needed.</li>
<li>Support school leadership with enrollment and demographic reporting for accreditation and compliance purposes.</li>
<li>Serve as liaison with the Admissions and Business Offices to ensure data consistency across systems.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in human resources management, ideally in a school or nonprofit setting</li>
<li>Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across diverse groups.</li>
<li>Proficiency with HRIS or school databases (Checkwriters and/or Veracross experience preferred).</li>
<li>Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.</li>
