Respiratory Therapists (RT) are responsible for assisting the physician(s) with the respiratory assessment and treatment of patient needs in the office / clinical setting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform necessary procedures with non-invasive methods such as CPAP and BIPAP therapies Educate and counsel staff members on basic respiratory therapy procedures Assist with therapy programs for patients based on the specific instructions of Physicians Engage in diagnostic evaluation, treatment and control of deficiencies and abnormal functions found in the patient&rsquo;s cardiopulmonary system Collaborate with nursing staff to administer blood gas samples and perform basic analysis KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge and ability to perform sound basic clinical procedures, such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, various tests, etc., as needed Experience with prior authorizations and medication refills Ability to adjust pace of work flow effectivel Skill in verbal communication. Ability to apply policies and principles to solve everyday problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, staff and the public. EDUCATION: Associate Degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy required CERTIFICATION or LICENSE: Active Respiratory Therapist certification required RN Certification preferred BLS Certification CXR Certification preferred EXPERIENCE: At least six months experience in a similar setting preferred Familiarity with Allscripts and Cerner preferred WORK LOCATION: In-Person BENEFITS: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Application Question(s): StatCare is a nicotine free company. Respiratory Therapist

Telehealth Nurses serve as a key clinical liaison between patients and providers in a busy pulmonary outpatient practice. This role provides telephone triage, patient education, care coordination, and clinical support to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient care. The Phone Nurse assesses symptoms, prioritizes patient needs, and collaborates closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and team members. 


*** This is NOT a remote position. Candidate would work from Administrative Office on-site ***
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

<ul><li>
<div>Perform telephone triage for pulmonary and sleep medicine patients using evidence based protocols</div>
</li><li>Conduct patient assessments via phone to evaluate symptoms and determine appropriate care</li><li>
Determine urgency of care needs and escalate appropriately to providers</li><li>
Document all patient interactions accurately and timely within the electronic medical record</li><li>
Communicate effectively with providers and team members through the electronic medical record and other digital platforms</li><li>
Collaborate staff to support continuity of care</li><li>
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times</li></ul> 


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
<ul><li>
Understanding of pulmonary disease processes and respiratory medications</li><li>
Familiarity with oxygen therapy, inhalers, nebulizers, CPAP and BiPAP devices a plus</li><li>
<div>Ability to recognize red flag symptoms requiring urgent intervention</div>
</li><li>Professional demeanor with strong patient service orientation</li><li>
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team</li><li>
<div>Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills</div>
</li><li><div>Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex medical information clearly</div>
</li><li><div>Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally through electronic platforms including EMR messaging, task management systems, and secure email</div>
</li><li><div>Experience with electronic medical records</div>
</li><li><div>Ability to manage high call volumes in a fast paced environment</div>
</li><li><div>Strong organizational and time management skills</div></li></ul> 


QUALIFICATIONS
<ul><li>
Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice</li><li>
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience required</li><li>
Experience in pulmonary, critical care, internal medicine, or triage nursing preferred</li></ul> 


Experience: At least 2 years clinical nursing experience

Ceritification or License(s): Current Registered Nurse (RN)
