<div>Cass Human Service Zone is seeking a dedicated and passionate CPS Assessment Worker in Fargo, ND for the Family Services Team to support Child Welfare Services. Our mission is to serve children and families by providing advocacy, resources, and education while promoting stability and community connections.
CPS Assessment Worker duties include but are not limited to:
<ul><li>Assess and investigate reports of child abuse and neglect while ensuring compliance with policies, best practices, and emergency intervention procedures.</li><li>
Accurately document case details and connect families to essential services.</li><li>
Collaborate with service providers, law enforcement, and legal entities.</li><li>
Prepare for and testify in court proceedings.</li><li>
Maintain flexibility with on-call scheduling and non-traditional working hours.</li></ul>

Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. A thorough understanding of program policies and laws is required, as well as proficiency in various software and database applications with a willingness to learn new technology. Attention to detail, strong decision-making abilities, and strict adherence to state and federal regulations are critical.
To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, behavioral health, applied behavior analysis, nursing (bachelor level degree) or criminal justice. Family Service Specialist III (SC7005):<ul><li>
Two (2) years of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective services worker, or professional case manager is required. Qualifying experience includes work in healthcare, behavioral health, child welfare, developmental disabilities, case management in a corrections setting, or social services. This experience must involve direct client interaction, service coordination, and documentation responsibilities.</li><li>
A master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of the work experience requirement
</li><li>A bachelor's degree as listed above</li></ul>
Family Services Specialist II (SC7004):<ul><li>
One (1) year of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective services worker, or professional case manager is required. Frequent travel throughout Cass County is required.
**Salary will be adjusted if position is filled with an underfill as an FSS I or FSS II.**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team. As a Correctional Case Manager, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, secure, and rehabilitative environment. This position provides case management services to individuals at MRCC, a minimum-custody facility, as well as those placed in contract facilities and county jails.
The Correctional Case Manager provides comprehensive case management services to meet the individual needs of residents at the Missouri River Correctional Center (MRCC), a minimum-custody facility, and those placed in contract facilities and county jails.
Key responsibilities include:<ul><li>
Conducting resident interviews to assess risk levels and individual needs.</li><li>
Assisting residents in setting personal goals and supporting their progress toward positive change.</li><li>
Monitoring and documenting all resident progress and behavior.</li><li>
Collaborating regularly with DOCR staff, law enforcement, social services, and other community partners to ensure coordinated care.</li><li>
Providing recommendations on resident movement between housing units, DOCR facilities, and contract placements.</li><li>
Coordinating with parole and probation officers, treatment providers, mental health counselors, and external agencies to address resident needs and mitigate risk factors.</li><li>
Maintaining and updating inmate records and compiling case information for the Parole Board.</li><li>
Assisting residents in addressing legal matters prior to release, including child support, custody issues, warrants, and detainers.</li><li>
Developing individualized release plans and supporting coordination with DOCR and other correctional agencies, including halfway house placements and supervision requirements.</li><li>
Completing and submitting offender registration documentation in compliance with NDCC 12.1-32-15 and initiating legal proceedings as necessary.</li><li>
Facilitating evidence-based programming, including Effective Practices in Community Supervision (EPICS).</li><li>
Some travel is required for this position.</li></ul>
To be considered for this role, you must have a bachelor's degree and two years of work experience in corrections, law enforcement, security, or related military.
OR
A High School diploma or GED and six years work experience in corrections, law enforcement, security, or related military, with at least four years of work experience in corrections. College level course work may replace experience requirements on a year for year basis, up to two years.

<div>Summary of Work
RSR Human Service Zone is seeking a Child Protection Assessment Worker / Human Services V (39-41-5981) in our Child Welfare Unit.
Join our high performing child welfare unit at RSR Human Service Zone! This position is responsible to provide safety assessment services to children and families. Additionally, you will provide advocacy while promoting family stability, respecting diversity, and working to create and strengthen connections to community resources. We work to prevent abuse by providing education, resources, and support to parents, families, and community organization. You will coordinate with internal and external service providers, while ensuring timely and quality service provision.
To succeed in this position, you will have a passion for helping others and making a difference in our community. This position maintains responsibilities of a highly complex and sensitive nature and requires a high degree of knowledge, skills, and passion in child welfare. Work activities involve decision-making within parameters of approved policies and procedures, thorough, accurate and timely responses as well as accurate documentation that complies with State and Federal Regulations. This position also requires coordination with local service providers, law enforcement and legal entities, as well as emergency response planning. This role will require testifying at court proceedings.
This position requires some afterhours/non-traditional working hours including on call response. Frequent travel throughout a 4-5 county area in southeastern North Dakota is required.
To be considered for this role: you must hold a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, human resource management (human service track), or criminal justice, and two (2) years of professional human services work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager. A Master's degree in one of the areas above may substitute for one year of the work experience requirement.

Minimum qualifications require a bachelor's degree as listed above and one (1) year of professional human services work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker or professional case manager or a Master's degree in one of the above areas.
