Cass Human Service Zone is seeking a dedicated and passionate CPS Assessment Worker in Fargo, ND for the Family Services Team to support Child Welfare Services. Our mission is to serve children and families by providing advocacy, resources, and education while promoting stability and community connections.
CPS Assessment Worker duties include but are not limited to:
To succeed in this position, you must have a passion for serving others and a commitment to making a positive impact. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. A thorough understanding of program policies and laws is required, as well as proficiency in various software and database applications with a willingness to learn new technology. Attention to detail, strong decision-making abilities, and strict adherence to state and federal regulations are critical.
To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, behavioral health, applied behavior analysis, nursing (bachelor level degree) or criminal justice. Plus, one of the following:
Family Service Specialist III (SC7005):
Family Services Specialist II (SC7004):
Family Services Specialist I (SC7004):
Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance. Must complete Child Welfare certification.
Individuals may be required to work some non-traditional hours.
Frequent travel throughout Cass County is required.
**Salary will be adjusted if position is filled with an underfill as an FSS I or FSS II.**
The successful applicant must pass a standard background, motor vehicle, and criminal record check.
