Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Engineering, Geology, Public Administration, or a closely related field.</li><li>
Two or more years of experience in environmental regulatory compliance or solid waste management.</li><li>
Experience running basic data queries and performing quality checks on output.</li><li>
Experience in conflict resolution, with the ability to defuse tense situations and negotiate cooperative solutions with regulated parties.</li><li>
Familiarity with RCRA waste determinations (Title 40 CFR Parts 261 and 262) or Utah Administrative Code counterparts (R315-261 and R315-262).</li></ul>
Supplemental Information
Most of the work is performed in a professional office setting. Occasional field investigations (less than 10%) may require walking on uneven terrain at landfills or outdoor sites, enduring outdoor weather conditions, and wearing standard personal protective equipment (PPE).
Job Series 
The selected candidate for this position may be brought in as an Environmental Scientist I with a salary range of $25.27- $37.95, an Environmental Scientist II with a salary range of $29.73 - $44.66 per hour, or an Environmental Scientist III with a salary range of $34.98 - $52.56 per hour.

We are looking for three caring and motivated Paraprofessionals to work with our Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students under the supervision of an Instructor for the Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing in the St. George area. 
Key Responsibilities 
Roles and Responsibilities 
As a Paraprofessional you will:<ul><li>
Prepare teaching materials and tutor individual students under the supervision of the instructor</li><li>
Communicate the progress of the students to the instructor</li><li>
Perform such duties as may relate to the motivation and achievement of students in academic and skills areas</li><li>
Assist with behavior interventions under the direction of the instructor</li><li>
Assist with routine daily activities, i.e. bus duty, recess, lunch, bathroom (may include diapering), etc.</li><li>
Provides support in a classroom environment by working directly with teachers and students.</li><li>
Maintains accurate records and logs.</li><li>
Designs and/or prepares training/instructional materials, teaching aids and devices.</li></ul>
Qualifications 
Minimum Requirements 
The ideal candidate will:<ul><li>
Practical knowledge of basic classroom techniques and organization.</li><li>
American Sign Language (ASL) preferred but not required.</li><li>
Techniques for assisting and providing effective support to classroom instructors.</li><li>
Practical skills in working effectively with students.</li><li>
Safe and timely response to special classroom situations.</li><li>
Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.</li><li>
Communicate clearly and effectively.</li><li>
Enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in either written or electronic form.</li><li>
Deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.</li><li>
Maintain strict confidentiality.
</li><li>Transporting students to and from school may be required.</li><li>
Successful completion of criminal background check contingent upon employment.</li></ul>
Supplemental Information<ul><li>
There are risks found in potentially dangerous or unusual environmental stress situations, e.g. being subject to possible physical attack. (Risks are related to the possibility of working with students who are non-compliant, self-abusive, and/or aggressive.)</li><li>
These positions have strenuous physical requirements such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities and recurring lifting of students (some with limited mobility) and/or their personal needs equipment. Must be able to lift and carry over 50 pounds.</li><li>
Preference may be given to applicants with previous experience working with disabled children, MANDT training; a valid Utah driver license with a clean driving record.</li><li>
Successful completion of a criminal background check contingent upon employment.</li><li>
These are part-time positions for nine (9) months, (181 days) per school year. Work schedules, Monday through Friday, thirty (30) hours per week.</li></ul>
