<div></div><div>SMSI, LLC is seeking a full-time System Analyst to assist our Nuclear Safety and Weapons team onsite at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in Los Alamos, NM.</div>
<div></div><div>The Gas Transfer Systems Group (Q-7) is responsible for design, development, production liaison, surveillance, and stewardship of all gas transfer systems (GTS) for LANL nuclear packages in the US nuclear weapon stockpile. While supporting the enduring stockpile, the group also supports the research and development of next generation GTS technology in support of future weapon systems.</div>
<div></div><div>The group is a programmatic tenant in two R&amp;D facilities at LANL: The Weapons Engineering Tritium Facility (WETF), and a high-pressure gas transfer system radiological laboratory. At WETF, the group has a diverse array of responsibilities including tritium storage and recycling technologies, legacy item recycling and disposal, high pressure tritium operations, and GTS function testing. The team maintains calorimetry and gas mass spectrometric capabilities that support tritium accountability and the GTS development program as well as diverse programs across LANL. At the high-pressure radiological laboratory, the team supports design agency (DA) and production agency (PA) missions for all LANL weapon systems, including valve and actuator surveillance for both LANL and SNL systems. The lab is a highly active hands-on lab, specializing in gas pressure systems (cleaning, purging, filling, bursting, etc.) and related diagnostics. Supporting equipment includes gloveboxes, fume hood, high pressure compressors, lathes, mills, wire EDMs, thermal chambers, etc. Emphasis is on the delivery of programmatic objectives via excellence in personnel safety, security, compliance, and programmatic hardware reliability and availability.</div>
<div></div><div><b>Responsibilities:</b></div>
<ul><li>The qualified candidate will provide aggregation of data and systems support to manufacturing and engineering analysts and teams, helping to drive data driven decision making in fulfillment of gas transfer mission objectives.</li>
<li>The candidate will extract data from legacy documents and compile to be analyzed for technical knowledge of gas transfer system engineering practices in support of data validation and verification of manufacturing approaches.</li>
<li>Meticulous attention to detail is required.</li>
<li>Provide support to multiple technical projects.</li>
<li>Research, develop, review, and comprehend historical technical procedures as needed.</li>
<li>Adhere to the requirements for working in facilities with radioactive hazards, including a Hazard Category 2 nuclear facility.</li>

<ul><li>5 years of technical experience working within data and systems is required.</li>
<li>Experience working with DOE, preferably Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is required.</li>
<li>Software Quality Assurance (SQA) experience is required.</li>
<li>Ability to effectively document and communicate results in a technical manner.</li>
<li>Keen attention to detail is required, as this person will use decades of data to forecast future predictions.</li>
<li>The candidate must demonstrate familiarity with multiple software systems. The systems being used include Fetch, NSDS, Python, Adobe, and HAI, among others.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and proven ability to communicate with various levels of engineers, scientists, leadership is required.</li>
<li>The position requires background and pre-employment drug screening for drug-free workplace.</li>
<li>This person must be able to work onsite at LANL during regular business hours 4-5 days per week.</li>
<li>The candidate must be US Citizen.</li>
<li>Active DOE Q clearance is required.</li>
<li>The candidate must have an active Real ID diver's license for badging and onboarding.</li>

<div></div><div>SMSI is hiring multiple senior level P6 Administrators to support Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in Los Alamos, New Mexico. These are hybrid positions, working 2 weeks onsite and 2 weeks remotely. The P6 Administrator will support the backend and schedules for Oracle based servers. Candidates must be able to work the software side and layouts of P6. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams, interfacing with engineering and operations to ensure consistent project controls practices that support strategic execution and mission success.</div>

<div></div><div>This position is hybrid and will work a schedule rotating from 2 weeks onsite to 2 weeks remote. LANL will provide travel to and from Los Alamos every 2 weeks, per diem, and lodging expenses. When working remotely, the candidate should be able to work between the hours of 9:00-4:00 MST. This position typically works a schedule of 9/80's, with every other Friday off of work.</div>

<div></div><ul><li>Senior level P6 administration and backend support for Oracle based servers.</li>
<li>Adheres to the Plutonium Facilities Engineering Division&rsquo;s policies, programs, procedures, and practices.</li>
<li>Verifies the adequacy and completeness of Plutonium Facilities Engineering schedule updates.</li>
<li>Performs schedule development, analysis, and maintenance using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools.</li>
<li>Develops and maintains detailed resource-loaded schedules that align with project scope, milestones, and deliverables.</li>
<li>Monitors schedule performance, identify variances, and provide actionable recovery strategies.</li>
<li>Prepares and deliver comprehensive project controls reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to project engineers, engineering leads, and stakeholders.</li>
<li>Ensures data integrity and compliance with internal procedures.</li>
<li>Provides mentoring and guidance to junior project controls staff.<br>
</li></ul><div><b><i>Required Skills</i></b></div>
<div></div><ul><li>Position requires a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in P6 Administration and prefer at least 20 years of experience in Project Controls.</li>
<li>Experience working with the backend and schedules of P6 administration is required.</li>
<li>LANL's P6 servers are Oracle based based so knowledge of Oracle systems is beneficial but not required.</li>
<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work.</li>
<li>Effective communication skills necessary to communicate, contribute, and be a part of a team.</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of project controls principles, including CPM scheduling and performance measurement.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Primavera P6.</li>
<li>Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.</li>
<li>Familiarity with earned value management principles and application.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of engineering and construction workflows.</li>
<li>Effective problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.</li>
<li>Familiarity with DOE, NNSA, or nuclear facility project requirements is a plus.</li>
<li>This position requires that the candidate is a US Citizen.</li>
<li>The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Q clearance.</li>
<li>Candidates with an active clearance are preferred.</li>
<li>The candidate must be able to travel to Los Alamos to work onsite at LANL every 2 weeks.</li>
<li>The candidate must have reliable high speed internet while working the rotating 2 weeks remotely.</li>
