Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to inspire creativity and artistic expression in our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves developing engaging art curricula, teaching various art techniques, and mentoring students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.Duties<ul><li>Develop and implement comprehensive art curricula that align with educational standards and promote creativity.</li><li>Teach various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.</li><li>Utilize learning technology to enhance the educational experience and engage students in their artistic pursuits.</li><li>Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create a safe and productive learning environment.</li><li>Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum.</li><li>Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student progress in art education.</li><li>Mentor students, encouraging their artistic growth while fostering self-confidence and critical thinking skills.</li><li>Collaborate with other educators to integrate art into broader educational themes, including literacy education and math concepts.</li><li>Maintain an organized classroom space that showcases student artwork and promotes an appreciation for the arts.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Art Education or related field; teaching certification preferred.</li><li>Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably with classroom experience in art instruction.</li><li>Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.</li><li>Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and behavior management strategies.</li><li>Experience with early childhood education principles and childhood development theories is advantageous.</li><li>Knowledge of Montessori methods or private school experience is a plus.</li><li>Proficiency in proofreading and writing skills for creating instructional materials and reports.</li><li>Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.</li><li>Commitment to ongoing professional development in education administration and early intervention strategies.
