You will be mentored by experienced attorneys who are committed to your professional development and success.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Handling all aspects of discovery</li><li>Conduct and defend depositions</li><li>Draft and argue motions</li><li>Conduct legal research and analysis</li><li>Draft a wide range of legal documents</li><li>Represent clients in court appearances, hearings and trials</li><li>Develop case strategies with the help of experienced colleagues</li><li>Communicate regularly with clients and opposing counsel</li><li>Represent clients in alternative dispute resolution, including mediations, settlement conferences and arbitrations</li><li>Negotiate settlements</li><li>Prepare for trial, including witness preparation, preparing exhibits for trial and drafting pre-trial motions</li><li>Reviewing and analyzing legal documents, such as contracts, agreements and insurance policies</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>JD from an accredited law school</li><li>Admitted to practice law in New York</li><li>Strong research, writing, and communication skills</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment</li></ul>About Us:We area prestigious mid-size law firm based in Suffolk County with a strong presence throughout New York State and Federal Courts.
