Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Age Teacher to join our educational team. This role involves creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children in before/after-school and summer programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childhood education, experience working with children, and a strong understanding of developmental milestones. The School Age Teacher will be responsible for managing classroom activities, and fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes growth, learning, and social-emotional development.Duties<ul><li>Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.</li><li>Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and social skills among students.</li><li>Incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences.</li><li>Support early intervention strategies and collaborate with specialists when necessary to meet individual student needs.</li><li>Engage children in activities that promote literacy education, physical development, and social-emotional skills.</li><li>Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom events.</li><li>Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, child welfare standards, and safety protocols at all times.</li><li>Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management, curriculum development, and other relevant areas.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential; preschool or daycare experience is preferred.</li><li>Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.</li><li>Experience with curriculum development across various subjects including literacy, math, physical education, and special education needs such as early intervention.</li><li>Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized teaching approaches is a plus.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and families.</li><li>Ability to plan engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and developmental levels.</li><li>Experience working with students who have special needs or require individualized support is advantageous.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to foster a positive learning environment through effective classroom management practices.</li><li>Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; relevant coursework or training will be considered.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
