<p><b>Position Responsibilities</b></p>
<p>
As a Medication Technician, you will:</p>
<ul><li>
Administer medications according to physician orders, care plans, and facility policies</li><li>
Assist with medication administration and documentation during assigned shifts</li><li>
Administer PRN (as-needed) medications and complete required follow-up documentation</li><li>
Follow medication delegation guidelines provided by the Nurse Delegator</li><li>
Monitor residents and promptly report concerns or changes in condition to nursing staff</li><li>
Provide direct resident care as assigned</li><li>
Accurately document medications, treatments, incidents, and resident concerns</li><li>
Review and follow resident care plans daily</li><li>
Identify safety hazards and respond appropriately to emergency situations</li><li>
Protect and uphold residents' rights while providing care</li><li>
Participate in required education and training programs</li><li>
Maintain accountability for equipment and supplies</li><li>
Report suspected abuse or neglect according to state regulations and facility policy</li><li>
Receive and process medications in PCC as needed</li><li>
Perform nursing assistant duties as outlined in resident care plans</li><li>
Complete other duties as assigned</li></ul>

<p>Responsibilities</p>
<div>1. Follow established performance standards and performs duties according to nursing service policies and procedures.</div>
<div>2. Responsible for assisted administration of all prescribed medication during shift.</div>
<div>3. Responsible for all as needed medications and follow up in one hour.</div>
<div>4. Follows care plan as to how medications are to be given.</div>
<div>5. Follows medication delegation guidelines as received by nurse delegator as needed.</div>
<div>6. Identify special resident problems and report them immediately to the nurse.</div>
<div>7. Provide direct resident care as assigned, completing assignments accurately and in a timely manner.</div>
<div>8. Responsible for documenting all medications and concerns for every resident under direct care.</div>
<div>9. Identify safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action immediately.</div>
<div>10. Provide nursing care to residents without violating residents&rsquo; rights.</div>
<div>11. Participate in facility education programs as assigned.</div>
<div>12. Attend all classes as assigned and complete assignments accurately and timely.</div>
<div>13. Assume personal responsibility for following facility procedures related to control of equipment and supplies within the unit.</div>
<div>14. Report suspected abuse or neglect to the appropriate state agencies and personnel.</div>
<div>15. Accurately document incidents and/or unusual problems according to established facility procedures.</div>
<div>16. Review care plan daily and performs nursing assistant tasks as outlined.</div>
<div>17. Receive all medications in PCC as needed.</div>
<div>18. Other duties as assigned.</div><p></p><p><br>
Required Qualifications (Certificates and Licenses)</p>
<ul><li>High School Diploma or General Education Degree</li><li>
Washington State licensed NAC/CNA/HCA</li><li>
CPR Certification (can be obtained after hire)</li><li>
