Active Washington CNA/NAC or HCA license required

Responsibilities

1. Follow established performance standards and performs duties according to nursing service policies and procedures.

2. Responsible for assisted administration of all prescribed medication during shift.

3. Responsible for all as needed medications and follow up in one hour.

4. Follows care plan as to how medications are to be given.

5. Follows medication delegation guidelines as received by nurse delegator as needed.

6. Identify special resident problems and report them immediately to the nurse.

7. Provide direct resident care as assigned, completing assignments accurately and in a timely manner.

8. Responsible for documenting all medications and concerns for every resident under direct care.

9. Identify safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action immediately.

10. Provide nursing care to residents without violating residents’ rights.

11. Participate in facility education programs as assigned.

12. Attend all classes as assigned and complete assignments accurately and timely.

13. Assume personal responsibility for following facility procedures related to control of equipment and supplies within the unit.

14. Report suspected abuse or neglect to the appropriate state agencies and personnel.

15. Accurately document incidents and/or unusual problems according to established facility procedures.

16. Review care plan daily and performs nursing assistant tasks as outlined.

17. Receive all medications in PCC as needed.

18. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications (Certificates and Licenses)

High School Diploma or General Education Degree
Washington State licensed NAC/CNA/HCA
CPR Certification (can be obtained after hire)
Medication and diabetes nurse delegation certification.

Required Education

High School Diploma or General Education Degree
Current Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) or Home Care Aide (HCA) in Washington

Equivalent experience is not accepted in place of required education.
