Job Title - Patient Care CoordinatorLocation - BangaloreRole PurposeThe Patient Care Coordinator plays a pivotal role in guiding patients who have been prescribed surgical procedures, helping them move confidently from a state of pain and uncertainty to recovery and well-being.This role acts as the single point of trust and coordination between the patient, doctor, insurance teams, and internal hospital stakeholders to ensure a seamless, compassionate, and well-executed care journey.Key Responsibilities1. Patient Counseling &amp; Emotional Support<ul><li>Meet patients who have been prescribed surgical procedures and engage with them in a calm, empathetic, and reassuring manner.</li><li>Clearly explain the surgical journey, from consultation to admission, surgery, discharge, and recovery, using patient-friendly language.</li><li>Proactively identify patient anxieties, fears, or hesitations and address them through clarity, education, and reassurance.</li></ul>2. Doctor Alignment &amp; Care Execution<ul><li>Understand the treating doctor&rsquo;s clinical approach, intent, and recommended care pathway.</li><li>Act as an extension of the doctor by ensuring the treatment plan is communicated and executed accurately across teams.</li><li>Maintain strict adherence to clinical instructions while translating them into actionable steps for patients and support teams.</li></ul>3. Cross-Functional CoordinationCoordinate seamlessly with:<ul><li>Concierge and admission teams for scheduling and logistics</li><li>Business and billing teams for financial clarity and transparency</li><li>Doctors and nursing staff for timely clinical execution</li><li>Track progress across all touchpoints to ensure zero gaps or delays in the patient journey.</li></ul>4. Position of Clinical Research Coordinator 1. Clinical Trials &amp; Industry Liaison<ul><li>Act as the single-point interface between the hospital and:</li><li>Multinational &amp; Indian pharmaceutical companies</li><li>Medical device manufacturers</li><li>CROs, SMOs, academic research networks</li><li>Global research sponsors and innovation partners</li><li>Proactively identify, attract, and onboard clinical trials, including:</li><li>Phase II, III, and IV trials</li><li>Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs)</li><li>Post-marketing surveillance (PMS) studies</li><li>Device and diagnostic trials</li><li>Registries, observational studies, real-world evidence studies</li><li>Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with research wings of pharma and device companies in India and globally.</li></ul>2. Feasibility &amp; Site Readiness<ul><li>Conduct trial feasibility assessments including:</li><li>Patient pool analysis</li><li>Investigator interest and capability</li><li>Infrastructure and equipment readiness</li><li>Regulatory and operational feasibility</li><li>Coordinate with consultants, clinicians, nursing, pharmacy, lab, radiology, ICU, and OT teams to assess trial suitability.</li><li>Prepare feasibility questionnaires, site capability documents, and responses for sponsors and CROs.</li></ul>3. Ethics Committee &amp; Regulatory Coordination<ul><li>Act as the nodal coordinator between:</li><li>Investigators / consultants</li><li>Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC)</li><li>Sponsors and CROs</li><li>Manage:</li><li>Ethics submissions, amendments, renewals, SAE reporting</li><li>Regulatory documentation as per ICMR, CDSCO, DCGI, GCP, ICH guidelines</li><li>Ensure strict compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards at all times.</li></ul>4. Study Operations &amp; Execution<ul><li>Oversee end-to-end study lifecycle:</li><li>Study initiation and site activation</li><li>Patient recruitment and screening coordination</li><li>Informed consent process oversight</li><li>Protocol adherence and deviation management</li><li>Monitoring visits, audits, and inspections</li><li>Ensure timely data collection, documentation, and query resolution.</li><li>Coordinate with study monitors, auditors, and regulatory inspectors.</li></ul>5. Academic Research &amp; Fellowship Programs<ul><li>Support and structure research activities for postgraduate fellowship programs, including:</li><li>Thesis planning and execution</li><li>Investigator-initiated studies</li><li>Publications, abstracts, and conference presentations</li><li>Mentor clinicians and fellows in:</li><li>Research methodology</li><li>Protocol writing</li><li>Data management and publication ethics</li><li>Drive a culture of academic research and innovation within the hospital.</li></ul>6.
