</b></div><div>We are currently seeking a full-time Paramedic/Firefighter for future openings at Phillips66. The base annual rate is $69,532.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Maintain Wood River Refinery Safety Training through HASC annually.</li><li>
Maintain EMT license and CPR/AED to keep current and renewed as needed.</li><li>
Day-to-day operations and maintenance of fire station(s) and the apparatus and personnel assigned to that station.</li><li>
Member of emergency response team and responds to all emergency scenes with designated apparatus including fires, EMS, hazmat, technical rescue incidents.</li><li>
Maintain and safely operate apparatus, tools and equipment.</li><li>
Operate fire apparatus pump to supply water to emergency scene.</li><li>
Maintain and operates radio and phone communication with fellow firefighters and captain.</li><li>
Responsible to always wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).</li><li>
Follows directions and orders given by supervisor or incident command staff.</li><li>
Maintain cleanliness and order in fire station, apparatus, service vehicles and offices.</li><li>
Communicate any deficiencies, safety concerns, incidents to their shift Captain in a timely manner.</li><li>
Complete any required reports on the same shift of occurrence.</li><li>
Knowledge of location or access to all standard operating procedures, policies, employee handbook, etc.</li><li>
Participate in required trainings delivered while on shift. May be required to attend trainings off-shift.</li><li>
Complete all assigned tasks provided by supervisor.</li><li>
Understand and follow chain-of-command.</li><li>
Complete pickup and delivery of product samples to the proper location, using care and safety measures to protect samples from damage or leaks.</li><li>
Complete all assigned Apparatus, Vehicle, and Equipment Inventories &amp; Inspections.</li><li>
Complete and stay current on certifications to operate forklifts, scissor lifts.</li><li>
Conduct contractor drug/alcohol screening when needed.</li><li>
Knowledge and understands boat and river safety.</li><li>
Conduct all Inspections required by client up to and including:<ul><li>
Fire Extinguishers</li><li>
Smoke Detection &amp; Alarm systems</li><li>
AED Inspections</li><li>
Emergency Lights and GFCIs</li><li>
Firewater System Inspections (fire hydrants, block valves, fire monitors, hydrant monitors, mini-manifolds, large diameter manifolds)</li><li>
Fire Protection Systems (fire pumps, sprinklers, deluge, clean agent, standpipes)</li><li>
Fire Apparatus &amp; Vehicle Inspections</li><li>
SCBA Inspections</li><li>
PPE, Firefighter turnout gear, rope rescue gear</li><li>
Tank Foam Chamber Inspections</li></ul></li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Minimum age requirement of 18 years or older</li><li>
Must possess High School diploma or equivalent</li><li>
Must possess valid Driver&rsquo;s License and able to obtain Illinois Class B Non-CDL driver&rsquo;s license or equivalent within 90 days of hire</li><li>
Must possess National or Illinois EMT License</li><li>
Must possess current CPR/AED certification</li><li>
Must have completion or certification through an accredited college, State Academy, IFSAC, or Pro Board of the following:</li><li><ul><li>
Firefighter II (IL OSFM), OR</li><li>
Basic Operations Firefighter Certification, OR</li><li>
Industrial Fire Brigade Member (NFPA 1081), within (1) one year of hire</li><li>
Hazardous Materials Operations (OSHA, 29 CFR 1910.120)</li></ul></li><li>
Must have completion of NIMS ICS 100, 200, 700, 800</li><li>
Minimum of 1 year of experience in firefighting and/or EMS</li><li>
Successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check</li><li>
Expected to obtain within one year of hire date:</li><li><ul><li>
DISA Drug Test Collector Certification</li><li>
Lifeloc Breath Alcohol Technician Certification</li><li>
Forklift, scissor lift, and other lift Certification</li><li>
