1. Job PurposeTo ensure a safe, healthy, and legally compliant work environment by implementing and monitoring occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and programs across the engineering facility.2. Key Roles &amp; ResponsibilitiesA. Safety Compliance &amp; Legal Requirements<ul><li>Ensure compliance with Factories Act, OSHA standards, ISO 45001, and other statutory regulations.</li><li>Maintain all statutory licenses, permits, and safety records.</li><li>Prepare and submit required reports to government authorities.</li><li>Stay updated on new safety laws and regulations.</li></ul>B. Risk Assessment &amp; Hazard Control<ul><li>Identify workplace hazards and conduct risk assessments (HIRA/JSA).</li><li>Implement control measures to minimize risks.</li><li>Ensure machine safety, PPE usage, and safe material handling.</li><li>Monitor high-risk activities (hot work, confined space, working at height, lifting operations).</li></ul>C. Safety Training &amp; Awareness<ul><li>Conduct safety inductions for new employees and contractors.</li><li>Develop and deliver safety training programs (PPE, fire safety, LOTO, first aid, emergency response).</li><li>Promote safety culture through campaigns, toolbox talks, and posters.</li></ul>D. Incident Management<ul><li>Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe practices.</li><li>Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>Maintain accident/incident logs and analyze trends.</li></ul>E. Health &amp; Occupational Welfare<ul><li>Coordinate medical checkups (pre-employment &amp; periodic).</li><li>Monitor occupational health conditions (noise, dust, chemical exposure).</li><li>Promote ergonomics and wellness initiatives.</li></ul>F. Safety Audits &amp; Inspections<ul><li>Conduct daily/weekly/monthly safety inspections.</li><li>Prepare audit reports and follow up on action plans.</li><li>Assist in external and internal ISO audits.</li></ul>G. Emergency Preparedness<ul><li>Develop and update emergency response plans (fire, medical, evacuation).</li><li>Conduct mock drills and ensure emergency equipment readiness.</li><li>Coordinate with external agencies (fire department, hospitals, etc.).</li></ul>H. Documentation &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Maintain safety policies, SOPs, checklists, and MSDS.</li><li>Track and report safety KPIs (LTI, incident rate, training hours, PPE compliance).</li><li>Present safety performance to management.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;12,271.17 - &#8377;42,361.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
