 A growing, privately held HVAC/R organization is looking to add a Technical Product Specialist to support product development, compliance, and technical operations across its North American business.
 
 
 
 
 
 This role blends hands-on product knowledge with cross-functional collaboration, working closely with internal teams and international partners to ensure product quality, performance, and market alignment.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 &bull; Evaluate new and existing HVAC/R products for compliance, performance, and market fit
 
 
 &bull; Build deep technical knowledge across product lines including ductless, inverter systems, components, and tools
 
 
 &bull; Collaborate with international teams to define and maintain product specifications
 
 
 &bull; Support quality control initiatives including product testing and inspection processes
 
 
 &bull; Provide technical support to internal teams and customers as needed
 
 
 &bull; Review engineering drawings, specifications, and product documentation
 
 
 &bull; Maintain records of certifications, testing, and compliance documentation
 
 
 &bull; Assist with development of technical bulletins, installation guides, and troubleshooting resources
 
 
 &bull; Monitor industry regulations and standards impacting HVAC/R products
 
 
 &bull; Support product development and roadmap planning with technical input
 
 
 &bull; Work with sales and marketing teams to build technical training and tools
 
 
 &bull; Assist with supplier quality issues and root cause analysis
 
 
 &bull; Participate in occasional travel to suppliers, trade shows, or branch locations
 
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 &bull; 5&ndash;7 years of experience in the HVAC/R industry
 
 
 &bull; Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in HVAC/R, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
 
 
 &bull; Strong understanding of refrigeration systems and HVAC equipment
 
 
 &bull; Experience reading technical drawings and product specifications
 
 
 &bull; Strong communication skills, including working with international teams
 
 
 &bull; Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP or PLM experience is a plus
 
 
 
 
 
 Preferred Experience
 
 
 &bull; Experience working with overseas manufacturers or suppliers
 
 
 &bull; Familiarity with inverter-driven or variable-speed systems
 
 
 &bull; Knowledge of UL, ETL, AHRI, or DOE standards
 
 
 &bull; Background in product development or quality control
 
 
 &bull; Exposure to wholesale distribution or private label programs
