Position: HR Assistant/ Front Receptionist (Full Time)Reports to: Human Resources ManagerPosition Location: 602 E. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, professional, and able to handle multiple responsibilities with accuracy and confidentiality.Compensation: Hourly, Overtime Non-Exempt; Wage Range: $20.00 to $26.00/ per hourRevision Level: R1 (10/25/2025)Primary Activities:Administrative and HR Support<ul><li>Maintain accurate timekeeping records and correct missed punches in Paychex.</li><li>Communicate with supervisors to verify attendance and update the Attendance Points workbook.</li><li>Record call-offs, point updates, and prepare attendance reminder forms for employees.</li><li>Assist with employee onboarding and terminations including setting up and removing employee records in Paychex and other internal systems.</li><li>Enter employee changes such as transfers or pay adjustments and ensure proper documentation is received.</li><li>Support HR with benefit enrollments, open enrollment updates, and uniform orders.</li><li>Prepare and distribute employee recognition materials including birthday and anniversary acknowledgments.</li></ul>Front Desk and Reception Duties<ul><li>Greet visitors and provide a welcoming environment for guests and employees.</li><li>Answer and direct incoming calls to the appropriate departments.</li><li>Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.</li><li>Prepare outgoing checks and ensure timely mailing for the accounting department.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized front office area.</li></ul>Reporting and Payroll Assistance<ul><li>Assist with bi-weekly payroll preparation by ensuring timecards are accurate and approved.</li><li>Run reports, enter adjustments, and communicate with managers for missing hours.</li><li>Prepare weekly and monthly reports such as metrics, labor distribution, and benefit invoices.</li></ul>General Support<ul><li>Assist employees with Paychex access, attendance questions, and employment verifications.</li><li>Help coordinate employee appreciation lunches and company events.</li><li>Maintain office supplies and restock beverages and snacks as needed.</li><li>Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior experience in an administrative or HR support role preferred.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service abilities.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Paychex or similar HR systems is a plus.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.</li></ul>Attributes<ul><li>Demonstrates reliable attendance and work the necessary hours, including overtime when required, to complete assignments accurately and on time.</li><li>Maintains an organized and efficient workspace.</li><li>Provides accurate and timely communication to coworkers and management regarding important information and updates.</li><li>Works collaboratively with coworkers and management to support teamwork and effective communication throughout the organization.</li><li>Follows all company policies, procedures, ISO standards, and safety regulations.</li><li>Accepts instructions and responsibilities with a positive attitude, treating others with respect and professionalism.</li><li>Serves as a positive role model by demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic that encourages others to do the same.</li></ul>Equal Employment Opportunity Statement T&amp;D Metal Products provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants.
