As a robot programmer/technician, you will program new tool paths and assist maintenance staff in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machining and pouring robots. Additionally, employee&rsquo;s behaviors must align with Ligon&rsquo;s Business Ethics Policy and strive to attain our Perfect Day Philosophy.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Work within TPi&rsquo;s policies, objectives and procedures.</li><li>Develop new part processing programs (tool paths) using ABB&rsquo;s RAPID programming language.</li><li>Design and fabricate work holding fixtures.</li><li>Repair and troubleshoot industrial robots, conveyors, and other related automation equipment.</li><li>Keep organized records and files while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent</li><li>Working understanding of algebra and geometry.</li><li>Strong grasp of parametric 3D modelling tools (Solidworks, Fusion360, CREO, etc).</li><li>Machining experience either CNC or manual (at least 1 yr preferred).</li><li>Programming experience of any kind (Gcode, C, Python, Javascript, etc)</li><li>Proficiency with basic office computer tools (Microsoft Office suite, Adobe reader, etc.)</li><li>Proficiency with electrical troubleshooting and repair.</li><li>Proficiency reading technical manuals and schematics.</li><li>Strong ability to think critically and work independently.</li></ul>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>1+ years&rsquo; experience with ABB RAPID and/or FANUC TPP programming languages.</li><li>1+ years machining experience, either manual or CNC.</li><li>Experience working in an industrial or foundry environment.</li><li>Proficiency with linear algebra and matrix math.</li><li>Experience working with automated manufacturing technologies (CNC, 3D printing, robotics, PLCs) in a technician capacity.</li><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree in a relevant field or 2+ years&rsquo; work experience as a CNC or robot programmer.</li></ul>PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENTThis position requires extended periods of working in the foundry. Sitting and viewing computer monitor, as well as lifting pushing and pulling of material, as necessary.The employee will be exposed to an environment where hearing, eye safety and safety shoes are required. Additionally, employee&rsquo;s behaviors must align with Ligon&rsquo;s Business Ethics Policy and strive to attain our Perfect Day Philosophy.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Work within TPi&rsquo;s policies, objectives and procedures.</li><li>Perform First Article Inspections.</li><li>In-depth involvement in data collection, analysis and feedback for corrective action, quality improvement, education and training.</li><li>Maintain corrective action system.</li><li>Calibrate and analyze gages and equipment for wear and defects as defined by QMS.</li><li>Interface with various managers/supervisors as needed regarding quality issues.</li><li>Communicates effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, and production supervisors/managers, to ensure quality objectives are met.</li><li>Inspect features on cast and / or machined 1st pieces for conformance to drawing requirements to approve or not approve continued running of production.</li><li>Operate real-time x-ray machine.</li><li>Perform dock audits.</li><li>Perform root cause analysis to identify and address underlying causes.</li><li>Interface with customers and vendor representatives as required to become familiar with product applications</li><li>Handle customer returns.</li><li>Travel to suppliers for source inspections and problem solving as necessary.</li><li>Keep organized records and files while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>Associate degree or certification in Quality Assurance or related field preferred; or minimum two (2) years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Formal training in specific aspects of quality necessary to perform the function involved (i.e. blueprint reading, GD&amp;T, SPC, auditing, quality systems, etc.).</li><li>Ability to setup and operate various QC equipment (CMM, lab equipment, real time x-ray, etc.).</li><li>Demonstrate a command of math, geometry and trigonometry.</li><li>Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical documents.</li><li>Strong communication skills with all levels individuals of all levels, internal and external.</li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite &ndash; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of company records and data.</li></ul>PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENTThis position requires extended periods of working in the foundry.
