The Quality Control Technician is to effectively perform a wide variety of inspection services and operations related to TPi manufacturing.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work within TPi’s policies, objectives and procedures.
- Perform First Article Inspections.
- In-depth involvement in data collection, analysis and feedback for corrective action, quality improvement, education and training.
- Maintain corrective action system.
- Calibrate and analyze gages and equipment for wear and defects as defined by QMS.
- Interface with various managers/supervisors as needed regarding quality issues.
- Communicates effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, and production supervisors/managers, to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Inspect features on cast and / or machined 1st pieces for conformance to drawing requirements to approve or not approve continued running of production.
- Operate real-time x-ray machine.
- Perform dock audits.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify and address underlying causes.
- Interface with customers and vendor representatives as required to become familiar with product applications
- Handle customer returns.
- Travel to suppliers for source inspections and problem solving as necessary.
- Keep organized records and files while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree or certification in Quality Assurance or related field preferred; or minimum two (2) years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Formal training in specific aspects of quality necessary to perform the function involved (i.e. blueprint reading, GD&T, SPC, auditing, quality systems, etc.).
- Ability to setup and operate various QC equipment (CMM, lab equipment, real time x-ray, etc.).
- Demonstrate a command of math, geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical documents.
- Strong communication skills with all levels individuals of all levels, internal and external.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Maintain confidentiality of company records and data.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
This position requires extended periods of working in the foundry. Sitting and viewing computer monitor, as well as lifting pushing and pulling of material, as necessary.
The employee will be exposed to an environment where hearing, eye safety and safety shoes are required. During warm & humid weather, employee is exposed to higher heat risks due to ambient temperature along with generated heat from equipment.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
