Tague Lumber is looking for a Human Resources Manager to lead our HR team and help shape a workplace where people thrive.
In this role, you&rsquo;ll play a key part in driving company culture, supporting employee growth, ensuring compliance, and aligning HR strategy with business goals. We&rsquo;re seeking an experienced HR professional who enjoys both big-picture strategy and hands-on execution &mdash; someone who can influence leadership decisions while also supporting employees day to day.<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
What You&rsquo;ll Do</h3>
Lead &amp; Strategize<ul><li>
Oversee the Human Resources function, aligning HR initiatives with organizational objectives. 
</li><li>
Partner with leadership to design programs that foster engagement, retention, and development. 
</li><li>
Keep policies and the employee handbook current and compliant. 
</li><li>
Maintain accurate HR records and reporting systems.</li></ul> 
Recruit &amp; Onboard<ul><li>
Manage full-cycle recruiting to attract and hire top talent. 
</li><li>
Coordinate background checks, drug testing, and pre-employment requirements. 
</li><li>
Deliver a smooth, welcoming onboarding experience for new hires.</li></ul> 
Develop &amp; Support Employees<ul><li>
Coach and guide managers in performance management and employee relations. 
</li><li>
Facilitate training, feedback, and professional development initiatives. 
</li><li>
Promote a culture of teamwork, respect, and accountability.</li></ul> 
Administer Benefits &amp; Compensation<ul><li>
Oversee employee benefits, including enrollment, COBRA, ACA compliance, and workers&rsquo; compensation. 
</li><li>
Partner with leadership on compensation strategy and benefits enhancements. 
</li><li>
Evaluate programs for competitiveness and employee satisfaction.</li></ul> 
Ensure Compliance &amp; Safety<ul><li>
Work with the VP of Operations on safety programs, training, and DOT compliance. 
</li><li>
Administer the Random Drug Testing Program. 
</li><li>
Participate in Captive Insurance Program meetings and initiatives.</li></ul>
Requirements: 
<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (HR certification a plus). 
</li><li>
5+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities. 
</li><li>
Strong understanding of employment law, benefits administration, and compliance. 
</li><li>
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. 
</li><li>
A proactive leader who&rsquo;s passionate about creating a positive, productive work environment.
