Bindery Operator Job Type: Full time/Permanent One of the UK s leading printers has the opportunity for experienced Bindery or Saddle Stitch operators to join a great team! With a great benefits package and a competitive salary this could be the perfect opportunity for you! <ul> <li>On-site parking </li> <li>Average 39 hours per week</li> <li>12 hours shifts 06.00am-18.00pm with a 1 hour paid break</li> <li>Predominantly working 3 shifts a week, with 12 extra shifts to be worked throughout the year</li> <li>DAYS You will work Monday-Wednesday days for 4 weeks, then rotate to Thursday-Saturday days for 4 weeks. You will be required to work 12 extra shifts per annum which will predominately fall on Sunday days. It will be a maximum of 9 Sunday days and the remaining 3 will be required during the week.</li> <li>Plenty of Overtime available (Voluntary)</li> </ul> The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the running of a high speed saddle-stitching or binding line to produce finished products to the highest quality and as efficiently as the job and machinery will allow. If you have experience with high speed saddle stitching in a comparable environment, re-training will be considered. Duties include: <ul> <li>Set up machinery to produce jobs in line with job bag instructions.</li> <li>Allocate tasks to crew members (If applicable)</li> <li>Keep the work area tidy and machinery in good order to ensure all work is correctly labeled and quarantine procedures are followed.</li> <li>Ensure that jobs are completed in a timely manner and are inline with despatch instructions</li> <li>Ensure Company Health, safety and environmental procedures are followed.</li> </ul> Personal Attributes: <ul> <li>Strong numeracy and literacy skills are essential.</li> <li>Flexibility</li> <li>Enthusiasm and drive to work within a busy department.</li> </ul> We would love to hear from you if you possess the appropriate skills and experience above.
