We are seeking a Senior Geologist to join our team for geotechnical investigations in the UAE. The ideal candidate will assist in site investigations, soil and rock sampling, laboratory analysis, and report preparation. This role requires a strong understanding of geological and geotechnical principles, along with fieldwork experience in UAE terrain conditions.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Site Investigations: Assist in geotechnical site investigations, including drilling supervision, soil and rock sampling, and in-situ testing (SPT, CPT, etc.).</li><li>Soil &amp; Rock Analysis: Conduct preliminary classification of soil and rock samples based on geotechnical properties.</li><li>Fieldwork &amp; Data Collection: Support senior geologists and engineers in conducting field assessments, logging boreholes, and recording geological data.</li><li>Laboratory Coordination: Coordinate with geotechnical laboratories for sample testing and ensure accurate test results for analysis.</li><li>Reporting: Assist in preparing geotechnical investigation reports, including site logs, borehole records, and geological assessments.</li><li>Compliance &amp; Safety: Ensure all fieldwork complies with EIAC regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.</li><li>GIS &amp; Mapping: Use GIS software and geological mapping tools to interpret site conditions.</li><li>Team Support: Work closely with geotechnical engineers, drilling teams, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills:<ul><li>Education: Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geosciences, or a related field.</li><li>Experience: 6 to 8 years of experience in geotechnical site investigations.</li><li>Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of soil mechanics, rock classification, and geotechnical testing methods.</li><li>Software Proficiency: Familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, and geotechnical software (GeoStudio, Plaxis, etc.) is a plus.</li><li>Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).</li><li>Driving License: UAE driving license is preferred for fieldwork mobility.</li></ul>Work Conditions:<ul><li>Frequent fieldwork in varying weather conditions.</li><li>Ability to travel across different project sites within the UAE.</li></ul>Preferred Experience:<ul><li>Prior experience in geotechnical site investigations in the Dubai and northern emirates in the UAE.</li><li>Knowledge of UAE geology and soil conditions.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From AED4,500.00 per monthExperience:<ul><li>Geologist: 6 years (Required)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>English, Hindi, Arabic (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person

Geophysical Engineer

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role for a Geotechnical Engineer at Tarmac Soil &amp; Material Testing Laboratory LLC. He/She will be responsible for geotechnical reporting. He/She should have strong computer literacy skills for managing reporting and preferably well versed with relevant softwares such as gINT, LIMS, GeoStudio, Geo5, Plaxis etc.Experience:Extensive Field Experience:<ul><li>06 years of hands-on experience in geotechnical engineering in the UAE, involving site investigations, soil and rock testing, and monitoring of geotechnical activities.</li><li>Experience managing and supervising site investigations, including borehole drilling, soil sampling, in-situ testing (e.g., Standard Penetration Test, Cone Penetration Test), and groundwater monitoring.</li></ul>Project Management:<ul><li>Proven track record in managing and delivering complex geotechnical engineering projects on time and within budget.</li><li>Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, in both design and construction phases of projects.</li></ul>Technical Design and Analysis:<ul><li>Strong background in designing foundations (shallow and deep), retaining structures, embankments, and slopes.</li><li>Competence in interpreting geotechnical data, conducting stability analyses, and making design recommendations.</li></ul>Regulatory and Compliance Experience:<ul><li>Familiarity with EIAC requirements and should have faced at least 04 EIAC audits.</li><li>Experience in preparing regulatory submissions and obtaining necessary permits for construction activities.</li></ul>Construction Support:<ul><li>Experience providing geotechnical support during construction, including quality control, site inspections, and troubleshooting geotechnical issues on-site.</li><li>Ability to review and approve construction documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and reports.</li></ul>Mentorship and Leadership:<ul><li>Experience mentoring junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, training, and support in their professional development.</li><li>Proven leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and lead teams in challenging environments.</li></ul>Educational Background :<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree: Civil Engineering, or a closely related field is required.</li></ul>Technical Proficiency:<ul><li>In-depth knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, including soil mechanics, rock mechanics, foundation engineering, and slope stability.</li><li>Proficiency in using geotechnical software tools for analysis, modeling, and design.</li><li>Familiarity with construction techniques and materials related to geotechnical engineering.</li></ul>Communication and Interpersonal Skills:<ul><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write detailed technical reports and communicate complex information clearly to clients and stakeholders.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulators.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From AED7,500.00 per monthEducation:<ul><li>Master's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Geotechnical Engineer: 6 years (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>UAE Driving License (Required)</li></ul>
