Geologist (UAE Experienced)

We are seeking a Senior Geologist to join our team for geotechnical investigations in the UAE. The ideal candidate will assist in site investigations, soil and rock sampling, laboratory analysis, and report preparation. This role requires a strong understanding of geological and geotechnical principles, along with fieldwork experience in UAE terrain conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Investigations: Assist in geotechnical site investigations, including drilling supervision, soil and rock sampling, and in-situ testing (SPT, CPT, etc.).
• Soil & Rock Analysis: Conduct preliminary classification of soil and rock samples based on geotechnical properties.
• Fieldwork & Data Collection: Support senior geologists and engineers in conducting field assessments, logging boreholes, and recording geological data.
• Laboratory Coordination: Coordinate with geotechnical laboratories for sample testing and ensure accurate test results for analysis.
• Reporting: Assist in preparing geotechnical investigation reports, including site logs, borehole records, and geological assessments.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all fieldwork complies with EIAC regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• GIS & Mapping: Use GIS software and geological mapping tools to interpret site conditions.
• Team Support: Work closely with geotechnical engineers, drilling teams, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geosciences, or a related field.
• Experience: 6 to 8 years of experience in geotechnical site investigations.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of soil mechanics, rock classification, and geotechnical testing methods.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, and geotechnical software (GeoStudio, Plaxis, etc.) is a plus.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
• Driving License: UAE driving license is preferred for fieldwork mobility.

Work Conditions:

• Frequent fieldwork in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to travel across different project sites within the UAE.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in geotechnical site investigations in the Dubai and northern emirates in the UAE.
• Knowledge of UAE geology and soil conditions.
