Job DescriptionA Web Developer &amp; Designer is responsible for planning, designing, coding, and maintaining visually appealing, user-friendly, and high-performing websites. This role blends creative design skills with technical development expertise to deliver seamless digital experiences across devices and platforms.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Design &amp; UI/UX</li><li>Create visually compelling website layouts, graphics, and user interface elements that align with brand guidelines.</li><li>Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts.</li><li>Ensure designs are responsive, accessible, and optimized for usability.</li><li>Front-End Development</li><li>Convert design concepts into functional web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.</li><li>Optimize website performance, including load speed, responsiveness, and browser compatibility.</li><li>Implement animations, interactions, and intuitive navigation structures.</li><li>Back-End Development (optional / depending on role)</li><li>Build and maintain server-side logic, databases, and APIs.</li><li>Integrate front-end components with back-end systems.</li><li>Manage content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Webflow, or other platforms.</li><li>Website Maintenance &amp; Optimization</li><li>Monitor website performance, security, and functionality.</li><li>Troubleshoot issues, debug code, and update features as needed.</li><li>Implement SEO best practices to improve visibility and rankings.</li><li>Collaboration</li><li>Work closely with marketing, content, product, or business teams to gather requirements.</li><li>Translate client or stakeholder needs into effective technical and design solutions.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design techniques.</li><li>Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or Illustrator.</li><li>Knowledge of front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, etc.).</li><li>Understanding of SEO, UI/UX design principles, and web accessibility standards.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.</li><li>Good communication and teamwork abilities.</li></ul>Preferred Experience<ul><li>Portfolio showcasing previous web design and development projects.</li><li>Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).</li><li>Knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console).</li></ul>Role PurposeThe Web Developer &amp; Designer plays a crucial role in shaping a company&rsquo;s digital presence by merging creativity with technical skill.
