Job Description

A Web Developer & Designer is responsible for planning, designing, coding, and maintaining visually appealing, user-friendly, and high-performing websites. This role blends creative design skills with technical development expertise to deliver seamless digital experiences across devices and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & UI/UX
• Create visually compelling website layouts, graphics, and user interface elements that align with brand guidelines.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts.
• Ensure designs are responsive, accessible, and optimized for usability.
• Front-End Development
• Convert design concepts into functional web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
• Optimize website performance, including load speed, responsiveness, and browser compatibility.
• Implement animations, interactions, and intuitive navigation structures.
• Back-End Development (optional / depending on role)
• Build and maintain server-side logic, databases, and APIs.
• Integrate front-end components with back-end systems.
• Manage content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Webflow, or other platforms.
• Website Maintenance & Optimization
• Monitor website performance, security, and functionality.
• Troubleshoot issues, debug code, and update features as needed.
• Implement SEO best practices to improve visibility and rankings.
• Collaboration
• Work closely with marketing, content, product, or business teams to gather requirements.
• Translate client or stakeholder needs into effective technical and design solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design techniques.
• Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) is a plus.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, etc.).
• Understanding of SEO, UI/UX design principles, and web accessibility standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Portfolio showcasing previous web design and development projects.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console).
