Job Summary and Qualifications</h5>
Admin Specialist
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Supports market level leaders in administrative aspects
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:<ul><li>
Analysis of new patients and surgeries by referral source and referring physician.
</li><li>Doctors Days Out reporting.
</li><li>Next Available reporting.
</li><li>Employee events.
</li><li>Coordinates physician recruiting schedules.
</li><li>Maintains Peer Review Committee documents.</li><li>
Mail sorting.</li><li>
Orders supplies for Plano.
</li><li>Coordinates guest schedules.
</li><li>Coordinates meals for Exec Committee.
</li><li>Prepares any reports I need for Exec.</li><li>
Provides secretarial support including typing, composing and proofreading correspondence,
</li><li>indexing and filing documents.</li><li>
Answers inquires or refers callers/visitors to appropriate individuals.</li><li>
Compiles reports from data and existing records.</li><li>
Gathers information and develops summaries as requested.</li><li>
Assists with development and implementation of budget and operational plans.</li><li>
Develops and implements office procedures related to coordination of interoffice communication,
</li><li>records, system.</li><li>
Ensures adequacy of office supplies and equipment.</li><li>
Schedules/coordinates meetings, appointments. Make travel arrangements.</li><li>
Assists other staff as requested.</li><li>
Attends meetings as assigned and reports on actions.</li><li>
Participates in educational activities and programs.</li><li>
Maintains strictest confidentiality.</li><li>
Performs related work as required.</li><li>
Maintain appointment calendars as needed.</li><li>
Practice and adhere to the &ldquo;Code of Conduct&rdquo; philosophy and &ldquo;Mission and Value Statement&rdquo;.</li></ul>
EDUCATION:<ul><li>High School Graduate/Equivalent</li></ul>
EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>1+ years of secretarial experience required, healthcare experience preferred</li></ul>
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
<ul><li>Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, systems.
</li><li>Knowledge of office management practices.
</li><li>Knowledge of secretarial procedures.
</li><li>Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type from draft copy.
</li><li>Knowledge of basic arithmetic to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and make changes accurately.
</li><li>Skill in computer applications.
</li><li>Skill in verbal and written communication.
</li><li>Skill in gathering and reporting information.
</li><li>Ability to work effectively with staff, patients, external agencies.</li></ul>
