DispatcherJOB SUMMARY:Perform logistics functions that may include reviewing, preparing and routing shipments, coordinating drivers, work crews, vehicles or equipment to appropriate locations according to schedules or customer requests.QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software</li><li>Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes and personnel</li><li>Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties</li><li>Ability to multitask with different events happening at the same time</li><li>Ability to work under stress and remain calm</li><li>Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment</li><li>2 &ndash; 5 years&rsquo; experience working with LTL Freight carriers</li><li>Familiarity operating a forklift, a plus</li></ul>RESPONSIBILITIES:&middot; Responsible for calculating routes and times of deliveries and making the necessary adjustments for sales and customers&middot; Establish delivery routes which are cost effective and compliant with Federal DOT guidelines while still maintaining an acceptable level of customer service, quality and satisfaction&middot; Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments&middot; Scheduling and dispatching drivers, work crews, vehicles or equipment to appropriate locations according to schedules&middot; Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from work crews or supervisors&middot; Using telephones, two-way radios or outlook email to contact employees&middot; Speaking with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, requests for services or equipment&middot; Preparing daily work such as schedules&middot; Preparing work orders for crew or receiving work orders from work crews&middot; Being in charge of communications within company assigned territories&middot; Keeping and organizing work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other information.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:&middot; Position works primarily in a warehouse environment&middot; Constant telephone activity; must have a high comfort level of initiating conversation<ul><li>Moderate noise levels</li><li>Occupation requires being sedentary greater than or equal to 80% of the time</li><li>Work involves sitting, standing, hearing, talking, handling, reaching outward, reaching above shoulder, walking, squatting or kneeling, bending</li><li>Regularly required to work on multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Have you worked in a warehouse environment before?</li><li>What was your most recent pay?</li><li>Do you have experience working with LTL Freight Carriers?</li><li>Have you operated a forklift?
