<div>The multimedia journalist (MMJ) assembles and promotes Texas Southern University news stories, news releases, media advisories, photography and videography for local and national media outlets and public engagement for his/her assigned beats. In particular, the MMJ will have responsibility for creating written and visual content that promotes the university&rsquo;s top-tier research, academic programs, student experience, alumni, partners, and special events. The MMJ has the capacity to communicate and synthesize complex materials and package highly technical information in an easily understandable manner through writing, social media, photography, and video. The candidate will have a successful track record in journalism or media relations, managing tight deadlines, proactively pitching stories, and creating meaningful work on a routine basis. The position requires a thoughtful, curious, organized and result-oriented professional, accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.</div>

<div><div><b>Essential Duties Summary</b></div>
<ul><li>Conveys complex subject matter in an engaging and easy-to-understand style by shooting, writing, and editing news stories highlighting university programs, administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, donors, and corporate partners, for TSU News, feature articles and other printed and digital communication, as well as posting stories, photos and video online.</li>
<li>Cultivates faculty, staff, students and other sources for stories and expert commentary.</li>
<li>Creates video content for social media to promote TSU.</li>
<li>Assist with editing as necessary.</li>
<li>Serves as backup for other team members as needed.</li>

<div><div>Under general supervision, responsible for supporting and advancing the mission and goals of the university and the college/school in all academic, scholarly and student support activities. The Assistant Professor typically teaches assigned graduate and undergraduate courses, develops curriculum and course content, conducts research and publishes research findings, counsels and advises students on course requirements and participates in college/school activities for the advancement of organizational goals and student success. The teaching responsibilities may include online or hybrid course formats in support of enrolled students.</div><div>

<ul><li>Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses delivered in multiple teaching formats. Preference given to applicants with course/work experience in Health Services, Managerial Statistics, Healthcare Operations, Health Economics, Finance and Health Policy.</li>
<li>Teaching experience in strategic planning, quality management, health information technology/ health informatics, leadership, or finance is preferred.</li>
<li>Working with the program director and faculty to effectively respond to the CAHME standards and other reporting requirements to maintain our accreditation.</li>
<li>Developing curriculum, course content and pedagogical resources.</li>
<li>Conducting research and publishing in a related area of expertise.</li>
<li>Participating in the academic life of the school (e.g., attending faculty meetings, participating in curriculum review/development, assessment of student learning, etc.) as well as serving on various committees as appropriate in the department, college, and university.</li>

<div>The Clinical Research Coordinator of MH Rx study at Texas Southern University will play a pivotal role in supporting clinical research initiatives, coordinating clinical trials, and promoting community engagement activities. This position involves coordinating a 3-year clinical trial titled &ldquo;Building an Innovative, Comprehensive and Multi-level Medication Therapy Management and Non-Medical Health Related Needs Targeted Intervention Model&rdquo; (MH-Rx) for Maternal Health Outcomes. The primary objective of the MH Rx study is to conduct a randomized study evaluating the feasibility and impact of Non-Medical Health Related Needs targeted interventions and Medication Therapy Management on blood pressure control among pregnant women with chronic hypertension or with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. Generally, the clinical research coordinator provides direct support to the principal investigators, leaders, and study team of MH Rx.

<div><div><b>Clinical Research Coordination:</b></div><ul>
<li>Coordinate and conduct day-to-day activities of MH Rx study.</li>
<li>Recruit, screen, and enroll study participants following inclusion/exclusion criteria.</li>
<li>Obtain and document informed consent from participants.</li>
<li>Schedule participant visits and perform follow-up assessments by protocol.</li>
<li>Collect, record, and maintain accurate clinical data and source documentation.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with study protocols, GCP, FDA regulations, and institutional policies.</li>
<li>Prepare and maintain essential regulatory documents (IRB submissions, initial submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, protocol deviations, etc.).</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with sponsors, monitors, and regulatory authorities.</li>
<li>Assist in budget planning and tracking of study expenses.</li>
<li>Report and follow up on adverse events as per protocol and regulatory requirements.</li>
