AMG Insurance &amp; Financial Company is looking for an Accounting Intern! We do this by providing best-of-class products, friendly service, convenient technology, dynamic training, and opportunities for meaningful collaboration among peers.This position reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for ensuring daily accounting operations run smoothly &ndash; including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial statements, reconciling bank accounts, and filing. In addition, production reports need to be prepared and commissions tracked and paid. This is done using QuickBooks.Qualifications:<ul><li>Associate degree in Accounting preferred</li><li>Minimum Experience Required: 1+ years</li><li>Software/Systems: Proficient in QuickBooks and all Microsoft applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist with general ledger reconciliations (payroll, benefits, A/R, A/P, bank and credit card accounts, retirement plans)</li><li>Support preparation of financial statements and balance sheet schedules</li><li>Perform data entry, account reviews, and follow‑up tasks as needed</li></ul>Additional Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced/high-volume environment</li><li>Ability to multi-task, strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving and follow-up skills are essential for this position</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li><li>Excellent human relations skills</li><li>Ability to work autonomously under pressure and meet set deadlines</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hourEducation:<ul><li>Associate (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
