Accounting Assistant

This position reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for ensuring daily accounting operations run smoothly – including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial statements, reconciling bank accounts, and filing. In addition, production reports need to be prepared and commissions tracked and paid. This is done using QuickBooks.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Accounting preferred
• Minimum Experience Required: 1+ years
• Software/Systems: Proficient in QuickBooks and all Microsoft applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word

Responsibilities

• Assist with general ledger reconciliations (payroll, benefits, A/R, A/P, bank and credit card accounts, retirement plans)
• Support preparation of financial statements and balance sheet schedules
• Perform data entry, account reviews, and follow‑up tasks as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
