About the RoleWe are seeking a Data Engineer I to support and extend our production data systems. This role focuses on API integrations, cloud data platforms, and automation workflows that power internal operations and client-facing systems.You will work closely with the Director of Data Engineering and directly support the Data Operations team, ensuring data systems are reliable, automated, and compliant. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role with clear ownership boundaries and strong growth potential.Key ResponsibilitiesData Engineering &amp; Automation<ul><li>Build and maintain automated data workflows</li><li>Support end-to-end job execution across production systems</li><li>Extend and maintain existing data pipelines and automation frameworks</li><li>Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability</li></ul>API &amp; Integration Systems<ul><li>Develop and maintain API-based integrations</li><li>Support internal and external system connectivity</li><li>Maintain standardized API and integration patterns</li><li>Monitor integration performance and resolve issues</li></ul>Cloud Data Platforms<ul><li>Work within AWS-based data infrastructure</li><li>Support structured data storage using S3 and Aurora</li><li>Maintain schemas and data consistency across systems</li><li>Contribute to scalable, production-ready solutions</li></ul>Security &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Follow SOC 2-compliant data handling practices</li><li>Support secure credential usage and access controls</li><li>Adhere to internal security and compliance standards</li></ul>Operational Support<ul><li>Directly support the Data Operations team with reliable data systems</li><li>Monitor automated jobs and workflows</li><li>Troubleshoot production issues and data discrepancies</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain system stability</li></ul>Systems &amp; TechnologiesExperience or familiarity with:<ul><li>Python</li><li>REST APIs</li><li>AWS (S3, RDS/Aurora)</li><li>Linux environments</li><li>Git / GitHub</li><li>Automated data pipelines</li><li>Compliance-aware systems</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>2+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering</li><li>Strong Python development skills</li><li>Experience working with APIs and automated systems</li><li>Hands-on experience in cloud environments</li><li>Comfortable working in Linux-based systems</li><li>Strong attention to detail and production reliability</li></ul>Nice-to-Have<ul><li>Experience in SOC 2 or regulated environments</li><li>Familiarity with ETL or batch processing</li><li>Exposure to CRM or operational data systems</li><li>Experience supporting live production workflows</li></ul>Reporting &amp; Collaboration<ul><li>Reports to the Director of Data Engineering</li><li>Directly supports the Data Operations team</li><li>Works closely with Engineering and Operations leadership</li></ul>Pay: From $80,000.00 per yearApplication Question(s):<ul><li>Live in the State of Connecticut</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>English (Required)</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Cheshire, CT 06410 (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
