The Blacknall Firm is seeking an experienced Texas family law attorney to assist with ongoing cases on a contract basis. We are looking for someone who enjoys courtroom work and is confident handling both custody and property matters from start to finish.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Appear in person for hearings and trials in Dallas, Collin, Denton, and Rockwall Counties</li><li>Attend mediations in person when requested</li><li>Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings</li><li>Work with the firm&rsquo;s paralegal for drafting pleadings, discovery, and settlement documents</li><li>Draft pleadings and correspondence when needed</li><li>Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the firm</li><li>Provide timely updates and ensure compliance with court deadlines and local rules</li><li>Demonstrate professionalism, preparation, and strong advocacy in every appearance</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Licensed Texas attorney in good standing</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of family law experience, including courtroom appearances</li><li>Proficient in drafting pleadings, discovery, and settlement documents</li><li>Comfortable handling cases involving both children and property division</li><li>Regularly attends family law CLEs and keeps current on Texas Family Code updates</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Professional, organized, and dependable</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Experience in Dallas, Collin, Denton, or Rockwall Counties</li><li>Solo practitioner or independent attorney with flexibility for contract work</li></ul>Compensation:Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
