The ICT Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on ICT lessons aligned with the school&rsquo;s curriculum (Cambridge/IB/National), integrating technology into learning, and fostering digital literacy, computational thinking, and responsible online behaviour among students.2. Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching &amp; Learning<ul><li>Plan and deliver high-quality ICT lessons aligned to Cambridge/IB learning objectives and school standards.</li><li>Teach computer skills including typing, productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), coding basics, digital research skills, and safe online practices.</li><li>Introduce students to computational thinking, problem-solving strategies, and digital creativity.</li><li>Use interactive tools, simulations, and software to enhance learning experiences.</li><li>Design practical assignments, projects, and assessments that build real-world digital competencies.</li></ul>Curriculum &amp; Assessment<ul><li>Develop and review ICT curriculum units, lesson plans, and assessment tools.</li><li>Maintain records of student progress and provide timely feedback.</li><li>Prepare students for ICT-related assessments and projects (Cambridge Primary/Lower Secondary/EYP or IB MYP as applicable).</li><li>Support integration of ICT skills across other subject areas.</li></ul>Classroom &amp; Resource Management<ul><li>Ensure proper functioning of the computer lab and maintain an organised, safe environment.</li><li>Coordinate with IT support for smooth operation of hardware, software, and digital learning platforms.</li><li>Ensure students follow cyber-safety, ethical use of technology, and digital citizenship guidelines.</li></ul>Professional Responsibilities<ul><li>Participate in school events, meetings, training, and professional development sessions.</li><li>Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and ICT initiatives.</li><li>Stay updated with emerging educational technologies, tools, and digital learning methodologies.</li></ul>3. Qualifications &amp; SkillsEducational Qualification<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science / ICT / Information Technology or related field.</li><li>B.Ed. or teaching certification preferred (for Cambridge/IB schools).</li></ul>Technical Skills<ul><li>Strong command over productivity tools, educational apps, and digital teaching platforms.</li><li>Working knowledge of coding languages appropriate for school level (Scratch, Python, HTML basics, etc.).</li><li>Familiarity with LMS platforms, online safety frameworks, and digital creation tools.</li></ul>Soft Skills<ul><li>Excellent communication and classroom management skills.</li><li>Creative, patient, and student-centred teaching approach.</li><li>Ability to integrate technology into wider curriculum areas.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.</li></ul>4.
