We create a fun, collaborative environment where kids learn to think critically, build real projects, and gain confidence through technology.Position Overview We are seeking a passionate Unity / C# Game Development Coach to mentor students in designing and building games. This is a part-time, in-person role (4&ndash;15 hours/week) with consistent weekly scheduling, typically between 3:00&ndash;8:00 PM on weekdays and mornings on weekends.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with kids, has a strong foundation in Unity and C#, and is excited about teaching through hands-on, project-based learning.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Teach students (ages ~10&ndash;18) game development using Unity and C#</li><li>Guide students through building games and interactive projects from concept to completion</li><li>Adapt teaching style to different formats:</li><li>Private / Semi-Private Lessons: Personalized instruction tailored to individual student goals</li><li>App Team (Group Mentorship): Lead small teams in collaborative game development and presentations</li><li>Structured Classes: Deliver curriculum-based instruction in a classroom setting</li><li>Foster problem-solving, creativity, and computational thinking</li><li>Communicate student progress with parents in a clear and professional manner</li><li>Support student presentations and showcase events (e.g., Coder Fairs)</li></ul>What Makes This Role Unique<ul><li>Make a direct impact by mentoring and inspiring young creators</li><li>Work with highly engaged families, including professionals in tech and startups</li><li>Flexible, consistent scheduling that works alongside school or other commitments</li><li>Opportunity to expand your own technical and teaching skills</li></ul>QualificationsRequired:<ul><li>Experience with Unity and C# (academic, personal projects, or professional)</li><li>Strong understanding of programming fundamentals (variables, loops, conditionals, OOP basics)</li><li>Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to beginners</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Enthusiasm for working with kids and teens</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field</li><li>Experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring students</li><li>Familiarity with additional languages/tools (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Scratch)</li><li>Experience with game design principles (game mechanics, UX, level design)</li></ul>Work Details<ul><li>Job Type: Part-time</li><li>Location: In-person</li><li>Schedule: 4&ndash;15 hours/week (consistent weekly schedule)</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hourWork Location: In person
