This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services.Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare and submit accurate medical claims using Electronic Medical Record, and ICD-10.</li><li>Review medical records and documentation to ensure proper coding, CPT coding, and ICD coding, for precise billing.</li><li>Follow up on unpaid or denied claims by communicating with insurance companies and patients to resolve discrepancies or issues related to medical collections.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of billing activities, claim status updates, and correspondence within the healthcare management system.</li><li>Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and billing guidelines while accurately coding diagnoses and procedures for each patient encounter.</li><li>Collaborate with medical office staff to verify patient information, insurance details, and medical records for billing accuracy.</li><li>Stay current with industry updates related to medical coding standards, including changes in ICD-10 codes or DRG classifications, to ensure ongoing compliance.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in medical billing with a strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare documentation.</li><li>Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for billing purposes.</li><li>Knowledge of medical coding principles including CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, and their application in billing processes.</li><li>Experience handling medical collections and resolving claim denials efficiently.</li><li>Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple claims simultaneously.</li><li>Ability to interpret complex medical records and translate them into accurate billing codes.</li><li>Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred; certification in medical billing or coding is a plus.
