Position SummaryWe are seeking a part-time Chinese Teacher to teach Traditional Chinese to students in grades K&ndash;3. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, creative, and skilled at using play-based and interactive methods to help young children gain confidence in speaking the language.Responsibilities<ul><li>Teach small group classes (K&ndash;3) in Traditional Chinese, focusing on both oral language and literacy foundations</li><li>Incorporate songs, games, stories, and creative activities into lessons to make learning engaging and fun</li><li>Foster a classroom environment that promotes confidence, respect, and curiosity</li><li>Collaborate with other staff to support DSH's literacy and enrichment goals</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proficiency in Traditional Chinese (speaking, reading, and writing)</li><li>Experience teaching or tutoring young children (K&ndash;3)</li><li>Ability to design and deliver creative, play-based lessons</li><li>Patient, encouraging, and able to build children&rsquo;s confidence in language learning</li><li>Previous teaching experience in language or enrichment programs preferred</li></ul>Schedule &amp; Pay<ul><li>Part-time, weekday afternoons (specific schedule to be discussed)</li><li>Approximately5-8 hours per week to start, with potential for additional classes</li><li>Pay: Based on experience</li></ul>How to ApplyIf you are passionate about teaching Traditional Chinese and helping children grow in confidence and creativity, we&rsquo;d love to hear from you!
