 Position Summary
 
 
 
 The Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated instruction in math and science to students in grades 3&ndash;5, supporting both academic and social-emotional development. This role requires a strong understanding of the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, as well as the ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of neurodiverse learners.
 
 
 
 
 The ideal candidate is a flexible, collaborative educator who can break down complex concepts, foster student engagement, and build strong relationships with students and families.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 
 Plan and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Develop and implement lesson plans that meet diverse academic and learning needs
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Assess student progress through formal and informal measures and adjust instruction accordingly
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Provide clear, constructive feedback to students and maintain ongoing communication with families
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Create a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Integrate social-emotional learning, including the Friends and Feelings&trade; curriculum, into daily instruction
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Support students in developing executive functioning, problem-solving, and self-advocacy skills
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administrators to support student success
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Utilize technology to enhance instruction and student engagement
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Qualifications
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required; teaching certification preferred
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Experience working with neurodiverse learners, including students with ASD or twice-exceptional profiles (preferred)
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and student-centered teaching practices
 
 </li>
 </ul>
