Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and friendly Salon Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our vibrant salon. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring they feel appreciated and well-cared for from the moment they arrive. You will manage appointment scheduling, handle transactions with precision, and support the smooth operation of our salon environment. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your customer service skills while working in a lively, beauty-focused setting.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet clients warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit</li><li>Manage appointment bookings using the POS (Point of Sale) system, ensuring efficient scheduling and confirmation</li><li>Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments promptly</li><li>Upsell salon services and retail products by understanding client needs and product features</li><li>Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and cash handling procedures</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, including merchandising and stocking retail shelves</li><li>Conduct product demos when appropriate to educate clients about new offerings or promotions</li><li>Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and supporting merchandising efforts</li><li>Support team members with basic retail sales, promoting salon packages and retail items to maximize revenue</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience in retail sales or customer service roles is preferred, especially within a grocery store or retail environment</li><li>Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership and team coordination skills</li><li>Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse client needs effectively</li><li>Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math ensures smooth transaction processing</li><li>Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with clients and team members alike</li><li>Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising will contribute to success in this role</li><li>Knowledge of phone etiquette standards enhances client interactions over the phone</li></ul>Join us as a Salon Receptionist where your positive energy and dedication will help create memorable experiences for our clients.
