Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and motivated Crew Leader for our Lawn Care team to drive excellence in landscape maintenance and gardening services. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily operations, supervise a team of lawn care specialists, and ensure that all projects meet high standards of quality and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead dynamic outdoor projects, develop your leadership skills, and contribute to beautiful, well-maintained landscapes.Duties<ul><li>Lead and supervise a crew responsible for lawn care, landscaping, tree care, irrigation, gardening, and general landscape maintenance activities.</li><li>Coordinate daily schedules and assign tasks to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.</li><li>Oversee the operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency.</li><li>Provide hands-on guidance in horticulture practices, including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest management.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during all outdoor activities.</li><li>Monitor crew performance, provide constructive feedback, and support training in landscaping techniques and safety procedures.</li><li>Collaborate with clients or project managers to understand project scope and deliver exceptional outdoor environments that meet client expectations.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or related outdoor service roles.</li><li>Supervising or leadership experience within lawn care or landscaping teams is highly preferred.</li><li> principles, including plant health care, pruning techniques, and soil management.</li><li>Familiarity with construction practices related to outdoor projects such as fencing or hardscaping is a plus.</li><li>Skills in irrigation system installation and maintenance as well as tree care are advantageous.</li><li>Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate a team while ensuring safety standards are upheld.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients alike. Your Responsibilities as a Landscaping Maintenance Team Lead<ul><li>Manage the Field &ndash;</li></ul>
o You are quite literally the boots on the ground. You&rsquo;ll be walking job sites, checking for quality control, and making sure equipment is maintained.
o The team looks to you to keep things organized. You&rsquo;ll help structure the routes, manage the employee schedules, and keep the crew members organized and on task.
o The team looks to you for support. You find solutions for issues that come up among the staff. And you make sure that team members have the training they need.
o You ensure everything is wrapped up and set to go for the next day. 
How We Measure Success<ul><li>Attendance: Might sound basic, but it&rsquo;s critical for the team lead to set the example in attendance for the rest of the team.</li><li>Budget vs Actual Hours: Keeping jobs profitable is dependent on managing the time planned and spent at each job.</li><li>Return Rates: You&rsquo;ll ensure quality control to make sure it&rsquo;s rare to ever need to go back to redo a job.</li><li>Crew Retention: Ensuring a healthy team environment and keeping people accountable will help reduce turnover.</li><li>Customer Retention: Building great relationships with each customer, and ensuring that they receive exceptional service, will keep them coming back.</li><li>Full Utilization of Software &amp; Processes: This helps make all the above possible.</li></ul> 
Job Requirements for Landscaping Maintenance Team Lead<ul><li>Prior experience in the landscaping, lawn service, or similar service industries will be critical to lead a team.</li><li>You will need to know your way around mowers, trimmers, tractors, etc. - how to operate plus preventative maintenance.</li><li>If you don&rsquo;t already have them, you must be willing to complete training to get all required certifications and licenses within 6 months, if required.</li></ul>
In addition, there are a few additional minimum requirements that are necessary to be considered for this position.<ul><li>Clean driving history with experience driving a trailer</li></ul> 
Benefits &amp; Pay
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00 per hour and is dependent on your experience as a lawncare or landscaping professional as well as in leading a team.
