Goal:	To provide direct, trauma-informed services to survivors of intimate partner and sexual violence, and stalking across The Haven&rsquo;s five-county service area, and to engage in outreach activities with individuals and community partners.Qualifications: A qualified candidate for this role will:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in human services, counseling, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, lived experience, or interest in working with survivors of intimate partner and sexual violence.</li><li>Basic understanding of, or willingness to learn about, the dynamics and impact of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and stalking.</li><li>General awareness of, or willingness to learn about, legal options and community resources available to survivors.</li><li>Demonstrate the ability and willingness to work with a diverse population in a culturally responsive manner.</li><li>Strong communication skills, including the ability to listen actively and communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats.</li><li>Interest in developing crisis intervention and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace (email and Drive), and willingness to learn data entry systems.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with openness to feedback and supervision.</li><li>Foundational understanding of trauma-informed practices, or willingness to learn and apply these approaches in daily work.</li><li>Hold a valid Virginia driver&rsquo;s license and maintain a good driving record.</li></ul>Duties and Responsibilities:1. Direct Services:Provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and culturally relevant services to survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and/or stalking, including:<ul><li>Providing accurate information on the civil and criminal legal system, survivor rights, and available gender-based violence legal remedies to support informed decision-making.</li><li>Offering advocacy and court accompaniment for survivors across the five-county service area.</li><li>Providing crisis intervention, advocacy, information, and referrals based on each survivor&rsquo;s self-identified needs and goals.</li><li>Collaborate with survivors to develop individualized safety plans that prioritize well-being and autonomy.</li><li>Providing or coordinating transportation for program participants when needed and safe to do so, to support access to services and participation in the criminal justice process.</li><li>Participating in on-call duties as outlined by agency protocols.</li></ul>2. Data, Reporting, and Grant Compliance:<ul><li>Accurately document, record, and report all survivor data and services provided in compliance with grant requirements.</li><li>Support the Advocacy Team and Executive Director in achieving program goals and evaluating program effectiveness.</li><li>Prepare and submit timely, accurate grant-funded progress reports as assigned.</li></ul>3. Community Outreach and Collaboration:<ul><li>Engage in outreach, education, and training for community members/organizations, allied professionals, and survivors.</li><li>Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners to enhance coordinated responses to survivors.</li><li>Attend and actively participate in community collaboration meetings as needed or assigned.</li></ul>4. Additional Responsibilities:<ul><li>Attend and contribute to staff meetings.</li><li>Complete a minimum of 20 hours of in-service or job-related training annually.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Advocacy Coordinator or Executive Director.</li></ul>Pay: $40,000.00 - $42,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li></ul>People with a criminal record are encouraged to applyWork Location: In person
