The Jaeb Center for Health Research (JCHR) is seeking a PhD-level Biostatistician or Epidemiologist to join our clinical research team. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to high-impact clinical research while developing toward a future leadership role as a study investigator.JCHR is a nonprofit academic research organization that designs and conducts multicenter clinical studies addressing major public health challenges, particularly in diabetes and eye disease. Our collaborative environment provides opportunities to work with leading investigators across academic institutions, government agencies, and industry.Role OverviewThe successful candidate will initially contribute to the design and statistical analysis of clinical research studies, working closely with investigators and multidisciplinary project teams. Over time, this role provides the opportunity to develop toward study leadership, including participation in investigator-initiated research and grant-funded collaborations with academic partners.This position is particularly well suited for early- to mid-career PhD biostatisticians or epidemiologists interested in transitioning toward research leadership while maintaining strong involvement in applied statistical work.Primary Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide statistical expertise for clinical research studies, including study design, analysis planning, and interpretation of results.</li><li>Develop statistical analysis plans and contribute to study protocols and manuscripts.</li><li>Perform statistical analyses using SAS and other statistical software.</li><li>Collaborate with investigators, project managers, and clinical teams.</li><li>Contribute to scientific publications and presentations.</li><li>Over time, develop increasing responsibility in study leadership and investigator roles, including participation in grant development and funded research projects.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>PhD in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a closely related quantitative field.</li><li>Several years of experience in clinical or health research preferred.</li><li>Strong statistical programming skills, preferably in SAS.</li><li>Experience working with clinical or observational health research data.</li><li>Strong collaborative and communication skills.</li><li>Interest in contributing to scientific leadership of research studies.</li></ul>Career DevelopmentThis role is designed to provide a pathway toward study leadership for individuals interested in growing into investigator roles. JCHR provides mentorship, exposure to large multicenter research collaborations, and opportunities to contribute to grant-funded research with academic partners.Salary will be commensurate with degree and experience and includes an excellent benefits package. The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000, with total compensation, including benefits, ranging from $110,000 to $150,000. Biostatistician or Epidemiologist (PhD) – Clinical Research

The Jaeb Center for Health Research is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, test, and maintain secure web applications and APIs that support clinical research operations and reporting. This role partners closely with research staff, leadership, and other engineers to deliver reliable, maintainable software and contribute to technical architecture, development decisions, and continuous improvement.Responsibilities include:<ul><li>Design, develop, and implement end-to-end features across the web application stack, including user interfaces, backend services, and data layers.</li><li>Build and maintain TypeScript-based front-end applications using Angular, React, or comparable modern frameworks.</li><li>Develop and maintain secure REST APIs using C#/.NET.</li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and research requirements into technical designs and delivery plans.</li><li>Design and optimize relational database schemas, queries, and data access layers (SQL Server preferred).</li><li>Implement role-based access control and secure handling of sensitive or regulated data.</li><li>Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.</li><li>Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.</li><li>Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, including build automation and deployments.</li><li>Develop systems with logging and monitoring and investigate defects and performance issues.</li><li>Produce clear technical documentation for systems and integrations.</li></ul>Experience and Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.</li><li>5+ years of professional software development experience delivering production systems.</li><li>Strong experience with TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.</li><li>Experience building REST APIs using C#/.NET or a comparable backend stack.</li><li>Experience with relational databases (SQL Server preferred), including schema design and query optimization.</li><li>Demonstrated experience writing automated tests and working within CI/CD pipelines.</li><li>Strong understanding of secure coding practices and authentication/authorization concepts.</li><li>Proficiency with Git-based workflows and collaborative code review.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and take ownership of deliverables.</li></ul>Salary will be commensurate with degree and experience and includes an excellent benefits package. The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $135,000, with total compensation, including benefits, ranging from $135,000 to $165,000.
