Compensation:
$120,000 - $160,000 yearly
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions</li>
<li>Anticipate, prepare for, and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration on behalf of clients</li>
<li>Get appropriate documents prepared, such as motions, pleadings, notices, and discovery requests and responses</li>
<li>Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws</li>
<li>Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings</li>
</ul>
<ul><li>Prepare for trial and hearings</li><li>
Draft Motions, Pendente Lite applications, Orders to Show Cause, and Appellate Briefs</li><li>
Perform case law research, draft briefs, pleadings, and manage motion practice</li><li>
Engage with clients, and represent clients in court for conferences and oral arguments</li><li>
The attorney must bill at least 80% of the time worked each week</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Completion of a 4-year bachelor&rsquo;s degree, as well as 3-year law degree from an accredited law school
</li><li>Work independently while handling a heavy caseload</li>
<li>Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration</li>
<li>Five years of experience as a senior associate in the legal industry</li>
<li>Member of state and local bar associations in good standing</li>
</ul>
<ul><li>3-5 years experience as an associate in matrimonial and family law</li></ul>
