Senior Lawyer

$120,000 - $160,000 yearly

• Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
• Anticipate, prepare for, and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration on behalf of clients
• Get appropriate documents prepared, such as motions, pleadings, notices, and discovery requests and responses
• Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws
• Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings

• Prepare for trial and hearings
• Draft Motions, Pendente Lite applications, Orders to Show Cause, and Appellate Briefs
• Perform case law research, draft briefs, pleadings, and manage motion practice
• Engage with clients, and represent clients in court for conferences and oral arguments
• The attorney must bill at least 80% of the time worked each week

• Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree, as well as 3-year law degree from an accredited law school
• Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
• Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
• Five years of experience as a senior associate in the legal industry
• Member of state and local bar associations in good standing

• 3-5 years experience as an associate in matrimonial and family law
