Personal Care Aide / HomemakerPosition SummaryThe Personal Care Aide / Homemaker provides non-medical, in-home support to clients to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). This role ensures clients maintain independence, dignity, and a safe living environment while receiving compassionate, high-quality care.Key ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care Services (PCA Duties)<ul><li>Assist clients with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene</li><li>Help with dressing and undressing</li><li>Provide toileting and incontinence care</li><li>Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation</li><li>Support with eating and meal assistance if needed</li><li>Monitor and report changes in client condition</li></ul>Homemaker Services<ul><li>Perform light housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry)</li><li>Prepare meals according to client preferences and dietary needs</li><li>Assist with grocery shopping and errands (if authorized)</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment</li><li>Dispose of trash and ensure sanitary conditions</li></ul>Companionship &amp; Support<ul><li>Provide emotional support and companionship</li><li>Engage clients in conversation and meaningful activities</li><li>Encourage independence and participation in daily routines</li><li>Accompany clients to appointments or community activities (if approved)</li></ul>Documentation &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Complete accurate and timely visit notes</li><li>Follow EVV procedures for clock-in and clock-out</li><li>Obtain required client signatures (if applicable)</li><li>Adhere to all company policies and state regulations</li><li>Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or GED preferred</li><li>Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required</li><li>Must pass background check and screening requirements</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation (if required for assignment)</li><li>Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Compassionate and patient demeanor</li><li>Strong communication skills</li><li>Time management and reliability</li><li>Ability to follow care plans and instructions</li><li>Professional appearance and conduct</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Services are provided in clients&rsquo; homes</li><li>May require standing, bending, lifting, and assisting with transfers</li><li>Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Ability to lift up to 25&ndash;50 lbs (as required)</li><li>Ability to assist clients with mobility and transfers</li><li>Ability to perform household tasks</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Expectations<ul><li>Must follow all EVV and documentation requirements</li><li>Must adhere to attendance and punctuality standards</li><li>Must comply with the company&rsquo;s Code of Ethics and client rights policies</li><li>Must complete required training and continuing education</li></ul>Equal Opportunity StatementWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
