This is a cross-trained, full-cycle accounting role. Rather than owning a single function, the Staff Accountant rotates across and supports income audit, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash handling and general ledger activities &mdash; flexing to wherever the Finance team needs support most.</p><p></p><p><b><br>

Ned&rsquo;s Club Washington DC is a members&rsquo; club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President&rsquo;s Park at 734 15th Street NW.</p><p>
The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-storey building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch.</p><p>
The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder&rsquo;s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
AS PART OF THE FINANCE TEAM, YOU WILL PLAY A KEY ROLE BY:</b></p><p></p><p><b><br>
INCOME AUDIT &amp; REVENUE</b></p><ul><li>Performing the daily income audit and reconciliation of all revenue streams, including rooms, food &amp; beverage, membership and ancillary outlets, ensuring completeness and accuracy between systems</li><li>Completing the daily income journal and reconciling daily activity across PMS, POS, accounting and sales systems, investigating and resolving variances</li><li>Performing daily cash and credit card reconciliations</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE</b></p><ul><li>Ensuring that invoices and payments are processed according to company policy and procedures</li><li>Working closely with the Purchasing Manager to create a processing flow that ensures purchase orders correspond with invoices and are processed in a timely manner</li><li>Posting and processing weekly manual checks, wires, Fintech payments and ACH payments</li><li>Maintaining vendor documentation required for 1099 processing</li><li>Maintaining strong relationships with vendors and responding to and resolving inquiries in a timely manner</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE &amp; CHARGEBACKS</b></p><ul><li>Managing accounts receivable, including invoicing, billing accuracy, aging review, collections follow-up and resolution of member, guest and corporate account discrepancies</li><li>Administering and tracking all credit card chargebacks and disputes, including research, documentation, response submission and coordination with processors and internal teams to drive timely resolution</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
MONTH END &amp; GENERAL LEDGER</b></p><ul><li>Supporting the month end closing process, including timely reconciliation of the checkbook, vendor statements and month end accruals</li><li>Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts</li><li>Preparing the monthly intercompany billback and reconciliation</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
TEAM &amp; CROSS-FUNCTIONAL SUPPORT</b></p><ul><li>Championing accounting policies and procedures by partnering with department heads and influencing consistency</li><li>Collaborating with various departments and team members in completing assigned projects</li><li>Supporting colleagues across the Finance team and contributing to financial functions beyond primary responsibilities as business needs evolve; performing other duties as assigned</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>

<p><b>WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL BE DOING:</b></p><ul><li>
Support the daily operations of the Team Members' Cafeteria, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.</li><li>
Assist with food and beverage service for team members during meal periods.</li><li>
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the cafeteria and surrounding areas.</li><li>
Ensure tables, service stations, and dining areas are properly set up and maintained.</li><li>
Provide friendly and professional assistance to colleagues, responding to their requests and inquiries.</li><li>
Assist with stock replenishment and basic inventory control as required.</li><li>
Support the planning and execution of employee engagement activities, celebrations, recognition events, and team member initiatives.</li><li>
Help create a positive and enjoyable atmosphere that enhances the overall team member experience.</li><li>
Collaborate closely with the People &amp; Culture and Culinary Cafeteria teams on colleague-focused events and activities.</li></ul><p><b>

Previous experience in hospitality, food service, staff dining, customer service, or a similar role is an advantage.</li><li>
A warm, outgoing, and approachable personality.</li><li>
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Passion for creating positive experiences and engaging with people from diverse backgrounds.</li><li>
A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.</li><li>
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>

Previous experience in a Sales Manager role within luxury hospitality or a similar environment</li><li>
Strong knowledge of the corporate market, preferably within Qatar</li><li>

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities</li><li>
Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage</li><li>
