<div>The Head of Access Services (Associate Director, Library Services) leads a dynamic program area, Access Services, which promotes new models for providing user access to scholarly works through circulation and interlibrary loan to advance learning, research, and creative expression. The Head is also a key leader of University Libraries&rsquo; activities to steward physical collections for use now and into the future. The Access Services Program Area includes the staff and resources in: Thompson Library circulation and stacks management; Interlibrary Services; and the Book Depository. Leads policy development, management, and evaluation for circulation activities for libraries at The Ohio State University, for Ohio State&rsquo;s Regional Campuses libraries, Health Sciences Library, and Law Library. Responsible for the coordination, supervision, planning, development, communication, and configuration/technical expertise for fulfillment and resource sharing in Alma/Primo/Rapido. Also collects, analyzes, and reports statistical information related to access services. Engages actively on behalf of the Libraries within the Libraries' communities of collaboration, especially OhioLINK and the Big Ten Academic Alliance. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Content and Access, the Head of Access Services functions as a peer in the leadership team of the Content and Access Division.

Required Qualifications 
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 7 years of experience in managing service desks, circulation, interlibrary loan, document delivery, or similar services involving print materials. At least 7 years of experience supervising multiple staff or teams. Experience with fulfillment and resource sharing configurations in a Library Services Platform. Ability to work effectively and creatively in a collaborative and complex environment. A demonstrated commitment to Ohio State&rsquo;s shared values.
Desired Qualifications
Master&rsquo;s degree in a relevant field. 12 or more years of relevant experience. Experience with fulfillment and resource sharing configurations and/or maintenance in Alma/Primo/Rapido. Demonstrated experience with project planning. Experience in academic or research libraries. Experience working with library consortia.
The posting range for this position is $88,300 to $110,300 annually.

Head of Access Services

<div>Research Technician will conduct experiments related to one or more laboratory projects and to process and analyze experimental results; maintain laboratory cell culture facility including routine passage of human cancer cell lines; designs and conducts biochemical and cellular pharmacological experiments to assess activity of newly synthesized compounds as inhibitors of bacterial and human type 2 Topoisomerases; maintains laboratory notebooks and electronic files; compiles laboratory results and summarize same in final figures, tables, and graphs using commercial software.

Research Technician 2

<div>The Research Senior Technician provides advanced research support by independently conducting standard laboratory activities within a high energy physics (HEP) laboratory. Responsibilities include cleaning, performing surface preparation, and preparing samples for testing, as well as conducting quality assurance testing. The role sets up, operates, and maintains sputtering machines, evaporators, and other laboratory equipment.
This position designs and assembles custom electronic circuits and laboratory equipment and develops, maintains, and modifies software and data acquisition systems to support experimental work. The role assists with the design and execution of research experiments, including data collection, analysis, and equipment procurement.
Works with a high level of autonomy on routine assignments, applies established procedures and precedent to resolve issues, and may provide guidance or training to less experienced colleagues.

<div>Job Description:
Under general supervision from supervisor or guidance from higher level staff, performs all duties required of Groundskeeper 1 plus skilled grounds maintenance tasks. Performs other duties as assigned; works primarily first shift within Facilities Operations and Development Landscape Services, but is subject to changes in shift, hours, days, and/or location as operations dictate; may work overtime; subject to 24 hour emergency call in. Will require successful completion of a criminal background check.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; six (6) months experience in grounds maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience; upon employment, must pass and maintain current Ohio pesticide operator's license categories 6A or 6C and 8; requires valid Ohio driver license and evidence of satisfactory driving record for insurability by university. May be required to comply with periodic safety requirements prescribed by state and/or federal standards. Documentation of successful completion of department-specific, advanced grounds maintenance training.

<div>The successful candidate will be responsible for direct chairside orthodontic assisting for all residents and faculty in the orthodontic clinic in the College of Dentistry; dispenses, receives, processes/sterilizes and purchases instruments, equipment, and supplies used in the delivery of orthodontic treatment; provides oral hygiene instructions, ensures efficient operation during faculty and clinical sessions; fabricates vacuum formed retainers, pours and trims models; organizes records system; and reviews financing options with new patients. 
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, varies 
A dental assistant needs to be able to have use of both hands, dexterity in the fingers and the ability to manipulate instruments, materials, dental hand pieces, and operate dental equipment. The use of feet is necessary to manipulate the rheostat for hand pieces or other dental equipment. The body must be able to work from a dental stool in order to perform most dental procedures. The ability to sit and stand for durations of time is also necessary. Other specific requirements include color spectrum differentiation; manual dexterity/motor coordination, hand-eye coordination, physical communications; and visual acuity and communication/language development. Individuals in this position may be exposed to the following: bloodborne pathogens; chemical hazards (skin irritants); vibrating equipment; use of sharp instruments; and latex.
Position Qualifications
Required: 2 years of experience with dental office practices and procedures, dental operatory practices and procedures, four-handed assisting techniques, inventory record-keeping, care of dental equipment, using a computer. High School diploma or GED.

<div><div>The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (VCS) is seeking an Administrative Assistant II to join our growing department and administrative team. This position will provide high-level administrative support to VCS faculty and management of other departmental needs. We strongly believe in a healthy work-life balance and have structured this position to allow for a hybrid schedule, with up to two days of teleworking per week, after completing a successful probationary period.</div><div> 
The successful candidate&rsquo;s key functions will be to provide Workday support to VCS faculty, and house officer overflow - including submissions and monitoring for approvals of requisitions, spend authorizations, expense reports, and other Workday functions, assist HR and the department chair with temporary departmental and locum appointments, assistance with faculty recruitment and faculty search processes to ensure SHIFT compliance, maintain the department website and manage other department data as needed. <div>The Student Success Librarian serves students, faculty, and staff of The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College by designing, implementing, and evaluating information literacy instruction efforts, including in-class instruction and digital learning objects. Markets library services and develops programming. Provides library reference support and collaborates with other student support services at both institutions to meet student needs. Teaches credit-bearing online information literacy classes. Assists with collection development. This position also serves on campus, institution, and professional committees.
