Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner role at Student Health Services collaborates with a team of healthcare professionals and support staff to provide Women’s Health care, ambulatory care, and clinical services, primarily to students of The Ohio State University; consults and provides consultation with other health professionals within and outside facility; provides counseling for preventive health issues and health education; provides direct medical care to students in healthcare setting; performs procedures and other special tasks as approved credentials permit; participates in program review and improvement activities; may assist in clinical research projects.

Student Health Services is accredited by the Joint Commission and is in the Wilce Student Health Center, at the center of the Columbus campus. The work hours are generally 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Required:

Master's of Science Degree in Nursing or Master's in Physician Assistant Science. APRN License with Certification as an NP or PA-C. Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with prescriptive authority; certification by National Nursing Organization (ANA, NAACOG, ANCC); certificate of authority and license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio and certificate to prescribe in the state of Ohio; completion of Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certification; current BLS-HCW certificate.

Desired:

0- 2 years relevant experience, 3 to 5 years of experience as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner; familiarity with an electronic health record.

Targeted hiring range is $101,700.00 to $124,650. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit’s available budget, and the selected candidate’s qualifications.
