<div>Scope of Position
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing health care services to patients within the parameters of a standard care or supervisory agreement with an attending physician member of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Collaborates with a physician(s) and other clinicians in providing a full scope of patient care. The focus is on preventive health or the management of acute and/or stable chronic conditions. Performs medical services that have been specifically authorized and directed by the credentialing body and the certifying organization through which they hold licensure.
Position Summary
The APP provides health care services to patients working in collaboration with a licensed physician member of the medical staff. Healthcare services provided include care during acute and chronic phases of illness, education, and counseling of individuals and families, health promotion and prevention, and referral to other healthcare providers and community resources when appropriate

<div>Job Description Summary
Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate and perform daily clinical research activities in accordance with approved protocols administered by the College of Medicine (COM) Center for Clinical Research Management (CCRM) the Department of Neurology/ Division of Neuromuscular Diseases, with a focus on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig's disease; assists with assessing patient records to identify patients who are eligible to participate in specified clinical research protocols; recruits, interviews and enrolls patients; obtains informed consent and ensures consent process is administered in compliance to regulatory and sponsor requirements; educates patients and families of purpose, goals, and processes of clinical study; coordinates scheduling and follow-through of patient care appointments, procedures, &amp; other diagnostic testing in accordance with study protocol; participates in the collection, processing &amp; evaluation of biological samples; administers, evaluates and calculates standardized scoring of diagnostic, psychological or behavioral testing or questionnaires; assists with monitoring patients for adverse reactions to study treatment, procedure or medication and notifies appropriate clinical professional to evaluate patient response, identify status of complications, &amp; provide appropriate level of care; documents unfavorable responses and notifies research sponsors &amp; applicable regulatory agencies; participates in evaluating patients for compliance related to protocol; assists with collecting, extracting, coding, and analyzing clinical research data; generates reports and reviews to ensure validity of data; supports activities to ensure compliance with all Institutional Review Boards (IRB), FDA (Federal Drug Administration), federal, state and industry sponsor regulations; assists with coordinating and preparing for external quality assurance and control reviews by IRB, federal or industry sponsors; participates in activities to develop new research protocols and contributes to establishment of study goals to meet protocol requirements.

Clinical Research Coordinator - Neurology

<div>Position Summary
We are seeking a laboratory manager to join an interdisciplinary team led by Dr. Anand Mhatre, Assistant Professor in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and Director of Rehabilitation Engineering Design Laboratory at The Ohio State University. This position offers a unique opportunity to support cutting-edge research in the areas of assistive technology service provision, outcomes, and implementation.
The Lab Manager will plan, design and manage research projects under the supervision of Dr. Mhatre and be responsible for successful project execution. These projects require interaction with clinicians and patients, lab-based engineering setup, design and fabrication of hardware, digital software development and evaluation, human subject studies, data collection and analyses, and dissemination of research findings through publications and presentations. The lab manager will perform some of these activities while closely working with the researchers, clinicians, staff and students. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to assistance with clinical coordination, set up agreements, training of undergraduate or graduate students, conduct library research on requested topics, and assist with writing articles or grants, as needed.
This is a great opportunity to build scientific skills and knowledge at the intersection of engineering and health science disciplines, learn new techniques, and position yourself well for your future training and career goals. Although an ideal candidate will have proficiency with some of the basic or advanced research and development work, training will be provided for required skillsets. This is a full-time position based in Columbus, Ohio, with an initial appointment of two years and the possibility of extension based on performance and funding.
