Founded in 1947 as The New London Outing Club, we have grown into a thriving hub for socialization, recreation, and personal growth &mdash; expanding in 2021 to include The Outing Club at Mountainside, offering tennis, pickleball, fitness, and personal training. We are dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging, offering diverse programs, and providing opportunities for growth for people of all ages and backgrounds.Our Mission: To provide sports, recreational, social, educational, and wellness programs and activities to the greater Kearsarge area community.Position OverviewThe Finance Manager will play a critical role in the day-to-day financial operations of The Outing Club. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing bookkeeping functions, analyzing cash flow, and serving as a key financial resource for Board Members. As a member of our leadership team, the Finance Manager plays a critical role in long term sustainability through daily financial management and an opportunity to inform long term planning. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on approach, a sharp eye for detail, an understanding of the community served by the OC,and a genuine enthusiasm for contributing to a mission-driven organization.Key Responsibilities● Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.● Monitor and analyze cash flow on an ongoing basis, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to leadership.● Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for Board Members, presenting findings along with recommendations in a clear and accessible manner.● Maintain and manage financial data within QuickBooks Online (QBO) and the Mountainside management system.● Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy.● Collaborate with staff and Board Members to ensure financial transparency and alignment with organizational goals.● Support annual budgeting processes and assist with audit preparation as needed.● Ensure compliance with non-profit financial regulations and best practices.● Provide data to inform long-term financial planning.QualificationsRequired:● Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping or financial management, ideally within a non-profit or small organization setting.● Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO).● Background in non-profit accounting or familiarity with fund accounting principles.● Strong understanding of cash flow management and financial reporting.● Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all financial work.● Highly organized, efficient, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.● Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders.● Collaborative and flexible team player who adapts well to a dynamic, mission-driven environment.Preferred:● Experience with private club management software, or a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new platforms quickly.● Experience working with or reporting to a Board of Directors.● Experience implementing process improvements within a financial or administrative function.What We&rsquo;re Looking ForThe ideal candidate is more than just technically skilled &mdash; they are a communicative, proactive partner who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of financial health to our mission.
