Location: Utah County, Utah | Remote /HybridPosition: Paid internship ($13/hour), 10-20 hours/week roughly ~12weeks or from May 1 &ndash; August 1 (flexible based on availability). Available time off for summer holidays and personal/sick time.About Us: The Plains is a film production company focused on telling meaningful, story-driven films. We recently released our first full-length documentary, which launched in local theaters and is now available on streaming platforms like Amazon and Apple TV, with plans to release and sell DVDs and Blu-rays soon.As we continue to promote the film and expand our company&rsquo;s presence, we&rsquo;re looking to grow our social media in a more intentional and creative way&mdash;both for the documentary and for The Plains as a brand and company.About the Role: We&rsquo;re looking for a Social Media &amp; Marketing Intern to work closely with our Business Operations Manager to help sustain and grow our social presence across multiple platforms.You&rsquo;ll be working on two main accounts:<ul><li>Our documentary film account (ongoing promotion + engagement)</li><li>The Plains company account (building our brand and portfolio presence)</li></ul>This is a collaborative role&mdash;we&rsquo;re not expecting you to have everything figured out. We&rsquo;re building this together. You&rsquo;ll receive guidance, but you&rsquo;ll also have room to bring your own ideas and creativity to the table.Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Edit and create short-form video content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, etc.)</li><li>Repurpose existing footage into engaging social media posts</li><li>Write captions and assist with posting/scheduling content</li><li>Monitor comments, messages, and basic community engagement</li><li>Help develop content ideas and simple content calendars</li><li>Assist in building the visual style and voice for The Plains&rsquo; social media</li><li>Capture behind-the-scenes (BTS) content on select shoot days</li><li>Track basic performance metrics and help identify what&rsquo;s working</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking for:<ul><li>Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook (personal or professional use counts!)</li><li>Experience with video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or equivalent)</li><li>Basic design skills in Figma, or similar application</li><li>Strong communication skills and attention to detail</li><li>Creative, proactive, and comfortable sharing ideas</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage time well</li><li>BONUS</li><li>Experience with Meta Ads and social media analytics</li><li>Familiarity with Notion, particularly for building and maintaining process documentation such as step-by-step SOPs, how-to guides, or internal knowledge bases</li></ul>What you get in return/Benefits: Hands-on experience managing and growing social media accounts within a film production environment, while building a strong portfolio of real, published work. You&rsquo;ll have weekly one-on-one check-ins with your manager (in-person or virtual&mdash;your choice!) and opportunities to be involved on set when applicable.
