 Position Summary
 
 
 
 We are seeking a highly driven&nbsp;
 
 Senior Accounting Manager
 
 &nbsp;to join a high-growth, dynamic organization&nbsp;and report&nbsp;directly to the&nbsp;
 
 Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
 
 . This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong foundation in&nbsp;
 
 public accounting
 
 &nbsp;who thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to build, scale, and improve accounting operations.
 
 
 The Senior Accounting Manager will take ownership of the company&rsquo;s core accounting functions, including financial close, reporting, payroll oversight, and compliance. This individual will lead a&nbsp;
 
 small but high-performing team
 
 , drive process improvements, and play a key role in enhancing financial systems and controls. This is a high-visibility role with significant&nbsp;
 
 growth potential
 
 &nbsp;as the organization continues to scale.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead and manage&nbsp;
 
 day-to-day accounting operations
 
 , including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee and optimize the&nbsp;
 
 monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
 
 &nbsp;to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and review&nbsp;
 
 financial statements
 
 &nbsp;in accordance with GAAP, delivering insights to senior leadership
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner closely with the CFO on&nbsp;
 
 financial reporting, strategic initiatives, and operational improvements
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Supervise, mentor, and develop a&nbsp;
 
 small accounting team
 
 , fostering accountability, growth, and continuous improvement
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure accuracy in&nbsp;
 
 payroll review and approval
 
 , maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations
 </li>
 <li>
 Drive&nbsp;
 
 monthly financial analysis
 
 , including variance and trend analysis, to support decision-making
 </li>
 <li>
 Establish, enhance, and enforce&nbsp;
 
 internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead coordination with&nbsp;
 
 external auditors and tax advisors
 
 &nbsp;for audits and compliance matters
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee&nbsp;
 
 state and local tax compliance
 
 &nbsp;and filings
 </li>
 <li>
 Champion&nbsp;
 
 process improvement initiatives
 
 , automation, and efficiencies across accounting functions
 </li>
 <li>
 Play a key role in&nbsp;
 
 systems optimization and implementations
 
 , leveraging strong ERP experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate cross-functionally to support business initiatives and improve financial visibility
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead or support&nbsp;
 
 special projects and strategic initiatives
 
 &nbsp;as the company scales
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;&nbsp;
 
 CPA strongly preferred
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
 
 , including&nbsp;
 
 public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm preferred)
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum&nbsp;
 
 3+ years of management experience
 
 , including leading and developing small teams
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge of&nbsp;
 
 U.S. GAAP
 
 &nbsp;and financial reporting requirements
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated experience working in&nbsp;
 
 high-growth, fast-paced environments
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven track record of being&nbsp;
 
 hands-on while also leading strategically
 
 </li>
